Looks great, but also very similar to the original new-who opening in my opinion. Maybe try a new colour scheme or something to make it different? Even saying that though as I said, it still looks good!
Yeah, I was thinking that but it was the only way I could get it to look mysterious. It will probably look like the Season 1-4 intro though.. Maybe I will try some more purples and reds!
May use this, but I'll have to edit in my own ending as the theme carries on like an end credits theme. Think this will be good?
The Howell dum-de-dums sound kinda bad outside of Grubbo's original video. Of course the timing of Smith's first theme song is weird anyway. I'll bet you've heard of WhoMix? I'll just PM you.
Very rough, but I like their thinking..
My opinion is that there was much better character development from series 1-4 and I felt series 5+ lacked that, although I actually think Rory's character development is good as you see him grow from this nervous guy to someone confident by mid-series 7.
Moffat definitely has more fun with the plot while RTD focused on characters. Now that we've had our fun with Smith, I wonder/hope about series 8. We could use a little more character interaction. It almost felt like Moffat wanted to be more personal in series 7 but there was way to much going on as it had to be the 50th anniversary season. (Which really the whole build up to that started with series 6 so series 5 was the closest we got to being baggage-free in regards to the 50th.) So series 8's biggest plus is it can just be a season of Doctor Who, no special events to tie into. (But please Eccleston two doctors story for series 9.(Which is totally a personal fantasy and nothing more.))
Blind commentator has reached Name of The Doctor. It's about to get crazy - but it means he will be done by Monday. :(

Just more of a push towards characters, but still have decent plots.
Yeah the plots weren't really that good imo. The ideas were good, but some of the stuff was just so silly. Loved every second of it though :v: I get what you mean though, it had a very different feel to it.
Why is august still so far away. I really want so badly to watch Series 8 right now. Btw, just look at this picture while listening to this and feel the chills :v:
I hope that isn't how blue the TARDIS is.
Looks like it's just the lighting. I hope.
it's just the lighting, I don't believe the exterior has changed
I heard it was repainted a bit though.
it definitely isn't that blue

Around five are understood to have been completed and a source on the show says that Capaldi looks on course to “make one of the best Doctors ever”. RadioTimes.com understands that the storylines have started from "the bottom up” with Capaldi’s Doctor having a clean slate of storylines with little reference to his predecessors. "He is his own man – very distinctive," said the source. The further good news for fans is that the chemistry between Capaldi and Coleman is said to be “sizzling”. “He is the oldest Doctor and there is a sense he is more distanced from his assistant, more of a mystery He is perhaps less a mate, and someone she looks up to. She has to try and gauge him – but dramatically it’s very satisfying and onscreen they work very well together.” His performance is also thought to have echoes of other Doctors, most especially Jon Pertwee's third incarnation, who Capaldi's look most closely resembles. But he is also a Doctor for a "modern age", said the source. “There is a real buzz about this Doctor,” added the source. “And of course the monsters are great.”

"the bottom up” with Capaldi’s Doctor having a clean slate of storylines with little reference to his predecessors.
I'm so relieved. Don't take me wrong, I really want the 'search for Gallifrey' storyline to continue, but I also don't want Capaldi to be brought down by stuff left over from the previous Doctors.
Search for Gallifrey must continue anyway, it's hard for it not to take place at all, unless it goes into the next season.
I would expect that will only be in the background for some time anyway. Unless Moffat wants to end his era with Gallifrey restored. Gotta deal with those pesky Daleks.

Back in 2009 when the first paparazzi photos of the new TARDIS showed up it looked absolutely neon. The film will be slightly desaturated and the color even more modified in editing. *sigh* I still wish they kept the grey scorch marks from Angels in Manhattan. But more important is less green lighting in console room.
"Doctor Cunt and the Technicolour TARDIS" springs to mind :v:
"Doctor Cunt and the Technicolour TARDIS" springs to mind :v:
Whoever said that must have been chased out of here pretty quickly...
Dan2593 ---- Posts 2,043
Oh
Oh, Clara's mum died on the same day Rose met the Doctor. Maybe her death was from the autons?

I just really hope that we don't get any more "I AM THE DOCTOR I DID LOTS OF IMPORTANT THINGS I'M A VERY IMPRESSIVE PERSON YOU KNOW". For some reason Moffat did the whole erase-all-traces-of-himself thing and then kept doing it anyway and never went anywhere with that plotline. And less fate-of-the-universe-and-reality-itself plots, if you're constantly doing stuff like that they it loses any impact it has.
He can delete data about himself, but not memories though. Someone in the show said too that you could reconstruct him from the hole he's left.
To be fair, he didn't have many chances for undercover work... Asylum - Captured by Daleks Dinosaurs - Past acquaintances Mercy - They told stories of the Gunslinger Power - U.N.I.T. Angels - River Bells - G.I. Rings - Parasite sacrifice Cold War - Untimely TARDIS arrival Hide - Undercover work for military intelligence Journey - Untimely TARDIS capture Crimson - Undercover residents of Sweetville, briefly. Nightmare - Undercover ambassador for the emperor. Name - G.I Day - Time War Time - Tasha Lem While Moffat was running the 'back to the shadows' idea, he was also running a rather major story arc about "Doctor Who" being broadcast throughout all of time and space. So it was never going to work out :v:
Have they ever explained in continuity why the Doctors Tardis can change its appearance slightly despite the fact that the chameleon circuit is broken?
