Room at the Top just won the BAFTA. Jenna takes away a win, at least :v: ETA: She got a name drop from the producer.
[sp]I liked the way the cybermen moved in last night's episode. For once their walk was actually menacing, instead of seeming like a wind-up toy soldier it actually looked like they were actively pursuing people with intent of harm. [/sp]
I like the fact they actually seem threatening now.
No word on the finale being leaked yet? I'm actually surprised it's taking this long. Would've thought someone would have uploaded it by now. Spoilers sure are beginning to fly though, so if you don't want to be spoiled, I'd avoid anything DW related for the next week.
Wait, was the DVD/Blu-Ray leaked to reviewers, or the general public?
Wait, was the DVD/Blu-Ray leaked to reviewers, or the general public?
General public in the US got it today, so people are viewing it.

I'm sad we didn't see the Cyberman running like in that promo pic. We just got that silly mega-speedwalk. :v:
Speaking of the mega-speedwalk scene, has anyone else noticed how much that "sped up footage then normal speed footage" trick has been used this series? I've spotted it in at least 3 episodes: Power of Three (when Amy and Rory are looking out of the window), Hide (for the movement of the creature), and Nightmare in Silver (when the first new cyberman appears).

The tribute is happening now in London, so it will be on BBC One in about an hour.
A little Tardis-bound sketch involving Clara, the Doctor and a Bafta before Jenna-Louise Coleman and Professor Brian Cox take the stage.

ETA: No announcement.
Some US DVDs of this series have gone out early. The #DoctorWho team would be hugely grateful if fans helped keep spoilers off the net.
https://twitter.com/bbcdoctorwho/status/333680602719076352
"Steven Moffat has promised if fans help keep the finale’s secrets, we’ll release a special video featuring Matt & David right after the ep!"
https://twitter.com/bbcdoctorwho/status/333681111567835136 Dammit Moffat. You damn well know that won't happen.
If someone misplaces a link to download The Name of the Doctor in my PM directory by accident, I will not be angry, just saying.
Dammit Moffat. You damn well know that won't happen.
Broadcast can't change that quickly. The clip of Ten and Eleven was set to air regardless. I know I'm the one to always post and read spoilers, and I already know the entirety of the episode, but watching it is a whole different experience I don't want to be tarnished for anybody. Anybody who uploads it anywhere is a fully fledged dick weed.
Online / VOD clips can change. But I agree that it was set to air already. But they can choose NOT to post it if finale details spread like wildfire.
If someone were to open a livestream with The Name of the Doctor, I wouldn't mind attending.
The BAFTA montage of Doctor Who was wonderful. "I didn't like him" - My mum when Colin Baker flashed up. *Nostalgic sigh* - My mum when Patrick Troughton and William Hartnell were on screen.

You read all of the spoilers and know exactly what's going to happen, you post them all here and have probably ruined the viewing experience for some other people. Why is the episode leaking online so early so disrespectful of the show makers? You're disrespecting them the same way by posting/reading spoilers.
What excellent publicity today has been, leak included. What a coincidence the leak came today, of all days, and the BBC just happened to have a clip of Matt&David ready to bait people with. I'm not saying the BBC deliberately leaked it. Am I? [editline]12th May 2013[/editline]
Haha what? It's the same thing. If the episode goes out it will be everywhere. It will be certain. Watching a highly anticipated episode before you're supposed to is very different to reading what might happen. It's like knowing what your Christmas present is before Christmas day. Watching the episode is like opening the present before Christmas day. It's not nearly as good, but knowing what that present is and waiting for it is endlessly exciting.

Have a picture of Moffat at the BAFTAs [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BKFxROnCcAA7Cy3.jpg[/t]

By now with all the spoilers you've shown us it's kind of silly to say its all conjecture. In all honesty I would appreciate this episode the same amount if I downloaded it now and watched than I would if I waited. If I wanted to appreciate the episode more maybe I shouldn't have read certain spoilers/certain spoilers should never have been posted in the first place, which I did kind of raise when everyone started posting all these rumours and I remember you said you'd stop - but you kept going so in a way it is a bit hypocritical to criticize the people who go watch it early after all that, sorry but it really just is [editline]13th May 2013[/editline] and with that said if a link to the leak shows up in my inbox i would not be hating the person who sent it wink wink the only one I can find is fake and is actually an mp4 of that gay n* from outta space movie
I haven't read any spoilers for Name of the Doctor beyond the BBC previews and I plan to try and organize a little Doctor Who party with friends & family in anticipation for the airing on BBC America Saturday. I feel justified in wanting to keep the matter of things private then in regards to what happens. I want to be wholly surprised by the twists 'n turns.

I control my curiosity and don't click any spoilers. Thus far, I have been unprepared for every episode of the season.
so there was no special BAFTA announcement?
Moving away from current series discussion a bit, I noted something when googling images of the Seventh Doctor's outfit in the TV Movie: That looks like the moment when he steps out of the TARDIS and the gang members shoot him near-dead, but that hat-tipping moment never happened in the film. Are we supposed to assume there was a cutting-room-floor moment where Seven sees the gang members, tips his hat in traditional greeting, and then he gets assulted with bullets? Because that sounds like would've been more tragoc in a way, but also a tad bit darkly humorous.
The Doctor should have picked the title of Plumber instead.. Maybe then he could fix all these leaks. Plumber Who?
