There's an extremely small spark of hope within me that Moffat has already talked to Matt about a 10th anniversary and that Eccleston is hopefully part of it.
Wouldn't Smith coming back not barely a year after he left be akin to the reason Tom Baker slid out of the Five Doctors?
I mean, Matt Smith is great but that seems a bit soon.
I'd like to think(in my perfect world) that having just Christopher Eccleston would be this cool kindof bookend look at the rebirth of Doctor Who. From the quirky sci-fi family drama to the larger-than-life juggernaut that it's become. Well, that's probably a snobbish way to look at it.
But just think about how not only did the show prove that it was still relevant, but that it's old trick of reinventing itself still works as well.
So when is the new season supposed to air? Like november or something?
