We all know The Doctor eventually get a black cat named Isis and live on earth for the rest of his days while he tries and stop the earth from having nuclear war.
I cannot be the only one who gets Doctor Who vibes when rewatching that episode.

Since it was a backdoor pilot it's very obviously an attempt at an American Doctor Who-like show. Down to the companion secretary and the magic pen device.
Oh and his computer has a bit of a personality.
