I think that would work as an explanation.
Zygon Stewart still exists afaik, and Kate would know that one of them would be a Zygon, so she would probably eventually go insane or something not knowing who is the Zygon - thus memory wipe to not remember anything that happened including there being a Zygon version of her?

Just double-checked BBCA's schedule for Day of The Doctor. The non-simulcast version, with commercials, was indeed a 2-hour affair.
Here's betting there'll be some sort of live "DEEP BREATH AFTER-PARTY" rubbish, possibly involving Rufus Hound knocking three times for Peter Eccleston
Apparently Ben Wheatley didn't stay for long after the shooting (didn't help with the editing, effects, additional scenes etc) which makes me worry slightly that we might end up getting a first episode that doesn't have a clear line of thought in it (I haven't seen it so that's just speculation). Fingers crossed though.

I've also been semi-away from the internet recently. I saw the big stuff (trailers).
But at one point I heard a headline on Radio 2 say "Series 9 of Doctor Who with Peter Capaldi". That was it. No context or explanation. Has Capaldi been confirmed for Series 9? Or did this guy mean Series 8 as there was the trailer stuff round the same time he said it? Very confused.
Moffat has claimed the penultimate episode of Series 9 will have a massive cliffhanger which we won't see coming (as usual). Nothing about Capaldi confirmed, but it's a safe bet....

Was there anything saying DOTD took place in 2013? I was naturally under the impression it was set post-Power of 3 and we had jumped a few years into Clara's future. It seems natural, even if she was studying teaching in school or something I doubt it's that easy a career for a kid-watcher to jump into.
