Don't know if I'm more excited for Reading or Doctor Who aaaaaaa
*Set Pictures* I have a new favorite from yesterday :) Perhaps a favorite from the production so far. Hello wallpaper.
This is hot
[sp]If they bring back cloth-face cybermen that'd just be weird[/sp]
PREPARE TO BE UPGRADED I don't know, either.
It is an E-book http://blogtorwho.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/cybermen-monster-file-ebook.html
Only free to those in the UK
Set Reports (Twitter) [sp]Ellie Oswald Gravestone Spotted[/sp] [sp]Clara Oswin Oswald Gravestone Spotted[/sp] [sp]Amy & Rory Gravestone Spotted[/sp]
I'm not really sure what to think of further Cybermen adventures. Nightmare in Silver's versions with their "UPGRADE" method of adapting to attacks strikes me as strikingly overpowered, even if it would make sense in how the buggers have evolved over the years. I don't know how the Borg get away with it in Star Trek, I'm guessing it may be due to their place in Trek mythos compared to Cybermens' in Who's mythos. Plus the more I read about Neil's original plans for NiS and the style of Cybermen in the classic era makes me dislike the NewWho generations more. Having their own stomping walk may emphasize their lack of humanity, but the whole "DELETE" and "UPGRADE IN PROGRESS" thing that implies they need a catchphrase thing like the Daleks really rubs me the wrong way. I think the best Cybermen story/version I've seen was Doctor Who Magazine's take in their final Eighth Doctor comic The Flood. A futuristic breed with a striking look and legitimately unsettling tatics. [thumb]http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110720082636/tardis/images/d/df/Bowed.jpg[/thumb]

Don't know about the former. But [sp]our Clara has already run in to her echo's gravestone once, even if she didn't notice it[/sp] But it seems legit. With a character called the Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere, I would say anything is possible. Set video EDIT: They're on film! After a few hits from a phaser, the Collective is able to identify the amount of power and frequency in the beam and adjust their shields to block it, requiring the enemy to change their weapon settings so that the Borg can eventually adapt to the new threat, and it continues in a vicious cycle until one side can't keep up with the constant changes and adaptations and is killed or assimilated. I like the Cybermen, but I don't think they've been explained or given as much detail and attention as the Borg.

[sp]Really don't want any plot hangovers from the last Doctor.[/sp] Also there's a rumour Episode 10 is under heavy wraps. Top secret stuff. I wonder if this ties into the old Peter Jackson rumour? Doubtful as it's a random one to have him do. Which leads to Borg comparisons. When originally the Cybermen were different enough.
[sp]There's now a cherub statue[/sp] I like the idea that it's just all connected to the Nethersphere, whatever it may be. I also think Oscar Award Winning Peter Capaldi could direct :v: Moffat must be getting increasingly furious, for another page of the script was snapped. They just seem to be laying about...
I really hope The Master will return in Series 9. I'm missing him. (Potential Spoilers)
I would like to see a very different kind of Dance next time The Master appears.
On the way to lunch, Peter got out of the car to pose for pics and sign autographs. He's nice, isn't he. While the sound department are hard at work, they are believed to be filming at [sp]St Paul's[/sp] & one of the [sp]Coal Hill[/sp] sites over the coming weeks.
I really hope The Master will return in Series 9. I'm missing him.
I doubt he'll be coming back honestly.
I doubt he'll be coming back honestly.
Why not? He's one of the most iconic Doctor Who villains and now with Gallifrey storyline open it's more possible than ever. But probably in different form - wacky Master was ideal for wacky Doctor.
I would like to see a very different kind of Dance next time The Master appears.
Beside him being the fan favourite, were there ever any rumours that could give us hope that Tywin Lannister will be The Master?
He'll be back. Even if Moffat doesn't want him, we don't know how many Executive Producers Doctor Who will have in the future.
Beside him being the fan favourite, were there ever any rumours that could give us hope that Tywin Lannister will be The Master?
[sp]Yes. Lots. But the word is Dance signed up to be part of a crowd funded movie and that movie managed to get it's funding just before Doctor Who went into production so he had to back out for that. That's the rumour anyway. Trackboy hinted Dance Master has just been pushed back a year. Others point out that his role in this crowd funded movie actually isn't that big (it's based on a book and Dance's character has a tiny role) so he should be able to do both. Remember the pictures from filming of a shrunk TARDIS? In the classic Series shrinking victims was a Master trait (Logopolis). The rumour since the 50th has been that The Master is coming back and had already been recast, shortly before that Dance was in the audience NEXT to the Moffat family at the Brian Cox lecture.[/sp] So yeah make of that what you will. I don't really follow spoilers anymore. This was from a single visit to Gallifrey Base and a little read up. It's a big topic of debate. (Also see title)
An impromptu reminder. Comeback of The Master is inevitable, whether Moffat claims he doesn't want him or not. Not only he complements The Doctor well, but always a specific person will make a better villain (than an entire race, or species). And he's easily recognizable by NuWho fans, and I'd guess they make a majority of viewers. But the choice of the actor, that's what fascinates me. [sp]I remember that shortly after Peter Capaldi was announced the short-lived rumour has appeared saying that Capaldi's personal friend and big Doctor Who fan, Craig Ferguson, would be perfect for the role. Sadly his show was the biggest obstacle, but not anymore. The choice of Charles Dance is perfect, but obvious. He already is established as a classy British villain, and he nails it in every role he plays. He also fits the idea of matured Doctor Who. Now, that his contract with Game of Thrones has ended, he receives a lot of movie-related propositions. I can't help but wonder, would he even consider another TV series role[/sp]
Is that really his twitter? It's not verified
Yep.
After all the speculation from viewers and the press, it took a young girl to go looking for answers.
A little girl who just had her picture with Peter Capaldi asked him if he is going to play the doctor for a year and he said: ‘I hope I play the doctor for years and years' My heart just melted a little because his eyes lit up and he was smiling so much..
Personally I want 10 years of Peter Capaldi as the Doctor and I haven't even seen an entire episode with him, that's how excited I am
Here he is signing a kid's drawings for good measure.
