I used to really appreciate the ending of The Pandorica Opens - but I don't appreciate that the destruction of a TARDIS would eventually cause the universe to never have existed.
Seems like a really big design flaw.
Maybe the effect is more pronounced the more the tardis in question was used? The doctor probably traveled more than any other time lord, and that thing wasn't exactly new when he got it, either.
We'll take this as an optimistic sign and move on :v:

I'd much rather have Jamie or Glenn appear. Jamie especially, he was (is? I haven't seen s2ep1 yet) great in Utopia

Also it implies no TARDIS was destroyed during the Time War or the universe would've been destroyed a million times over.
How come we didn't hear TARDIS's during the Time War? Why did Timelords just become generic foot soldiers?

In universe answer: the Doctor leaves the brakes on
Real life answer: the Time War suffered heavily from Clone War syndrome.

Thanks for making me look furiously for evidence that Paul Higgins was in Series 3.

obviously that answer is just an excuse for the production not doing more with it though, it's a shame really.

Payback trolling is best trolling.
Ohh now I've remembered that there's a Doctor Who Lego set in review.
Which means there'll be an inevitable Lego Doctor Who Video Game. That would be amazing. An episode for each Doctor! They could use sonics to build things!

If the "Every TARDIS explosion fucks up the universe real good" theory is true, I take into account all the times RTD and Nick Briggs tells us the Time War is too big and vast and hard to comprehend and rippled all across time, I imagine the war was ripping apart time like wrapping paper and decimating history and planets and whatnot. TARDIS destructions were just a part of this universal cataclysm and the Time Lords exhausted a good chunk of resources to at least keep the universe stable in the meantime.
Might explain a lack of battle TARDISes (a real thing, according to DW's wiki) at Arcadia or whatnot. The Time Lords (or at least the not-Rassilon-controlled) knew better by then.

Finished my Thick of It re-run :( Time to wipe Malcolm Tucker from my mind. The finale showcases the very best of the Capaldi Penguin Run :v:

Clara's costume here's already making me feel excited, reminds me fondly of the leather jackets Rose, Donna and Martha all wore at various points.
Also a good shot, as well.
It's a realy pretty outfit, the hair included, I really want to dress like that at some point (I mean my first cosplay pick right now is The Moment with my friend as War Doctor, but Clara's a close second pic. In any of her outfits, she has a REALLY nice fashion sense.)
Chris Addison for next companion
Oh God, that would be fun. But then we'd be sad because we can't see how they both would react with the dynamic between their characters being changed from The Thick of It to Doctor Who.
i discovered that Super Chocolate Bear (who some people might know as that one guy who did a really good half-life novel adaptation) has been writing some really good doctor who fanfics.

Oh wow, I really like Super Chocolate Bear. Thanks for the rec.
Well I went to read the fan-fiction above but got immediately distracted and went browsing when I saw this description of another fan-fiction in the Doctor Who section:
Clara and the Master are getting married! But, things go wrong when the Zygons come to visit.
Oh boy.

You have to assume it was PC, don't you?
I thought I recognised the Capaldi run

It was 2 months ago but if you've not seen it I recommend Billie Piper chatting with Craig Ferguson:

They talk about Peter Capaldi not doing acid.
Zoe Ball was great and all but next time there's a live Doctor Who show please get Craig Ferguson to present it.

Finally, someone who can talk properly!

Poor Doctor looks like he has had a tough year by all accounts. Even the babies know Capaldi will be good.
It's so weird to think we're gearing up for a series while it's still being filmed. Also weird that it's a series that has been filmed in episodic order (with the exception of 10 I believe). So there was no chance of later scenes and episodes making it into the trailer.
It's doubly weird to thing Episode 10 won't even have started filming by the time people have watched Episode 1 in Cardiff. While we watch Doctor Who they'll be filming a Christmas special too.
I know it's not unusual for TV at all, I just find it weird for some strange reason.
You know what's also weird?

T-Shirt under the coat? Guess he does have Eccleston's edge for casual dressing.
