6) TL;DR, the TARDIS exploded at EVERY POINT IN TIME EVER DUE TO ITS NATURE, the reason is still unknown but it's implied to have been THE SILENCE who caused this to occur.
I always though that the exploding Tardis was because of The Doctor regenerating. That shit was explosive.
There was nothing I thought was exciting about the series 5 final. I'm just expressing my and my friend's opinion
why are you watching a sci-fi show if you don't want to think about it
Because I want a clever story line, but if I have to play Sherlock every time, it's not entertaining for me.

You really must've payed exactly 0 attention to the entirety of series 5 if you had to "play Sherlock" to figure out what was going on.

Why would his regeneration cause the TARDIS to explode what might've been several months later...?

Doctor What
So I was looking at fan-made doctor costumes (specifically Six, as I dreamt I was wearing it last night and wanted to see if people actually make them) and I stumbled across this version of the Sixth Doctor's coat:

oh my god just kill it now
Series 5 finale was easily my faviroute.
What are you talking about it being hard to think through? I watched it with children who grasped it instantly. Infact I think most people got it when The Doctor pulled the TARDIS piece from the crack. It wasn't like you needed be Sherlock. It was glaringly obvious. You must've not been paying attention.

Listening to the radio and an advert just came on for the finale.
In it you hear The Doctor shouting "Clara! CLARA!" and she says "Run you clever boy. And remember me".
It must be awesome to live in the UK.
Nope. Our TV and music is pretty great. But everybody is so miserable. So is the weather.
[editline]16th May 2013[/editline]
Some slow rap just came on the radio. Lyrics include: "And I'll take you to my Tardis. Who's the Hardest? Who's the Hardest?"
What?

Only 1 remains..

Sounds better than Australia. All we have is good times and beer.
And I don't drink. :(
So is the name of the doctor just going to be 45 mins?
Because it looks like they have way to much fit just 45 mins
I would even be happy with 50 mins but 45 mins ep just seems to short
I sometimes think they should have hour long episodes if they want to try to be clever
Den of Geek Spoiler-Free Re... Thoughts
From the off, we think lots of people are going to like this one. We did. In fact, even before the credits roll, the nerd bait had begun in earnest, with a lovely sequence that had us borderline squealing with glee. There are no shortage of moments like that throughout
A cosplayer/tailor named Steve Ricks has done an absolutely gorgeous Six coat, although it's NOT cheap.

Pretty much all the fabric has been hand-woven for this coat, from a weaver up in the scottish highlands.
I really like how the 6th Doctors coat matches with his personality. Chaotic and crazy, but stylish all the same.
So basically Moffat is trying to [sp]make his Mary Sue waifu the most important companion in Doctor Who.[/sp]

[sp]He's erasing her from existence, so I'd assume "no".[/sp]
So?
Not the most important either. [sp]The most important thing she did was tell The Doctor to choose a different TARDIS. She does this because the one he's trying to break into isn't opening. When she suggests the other older Type 40 the doors open automatically.
Different versions of Clara saving The Doctors life are no different to all the various characters who have saved his live in the past.
It's not one Clara traveling through time and saving him. It's different people that happen to look, sound and act like Clara.[/sp]
[sp]He's erasing her from existence, so I'd assume "no".[/sp]
Only a rumour. Different people say different things. Some say this doesn't happen.
But I think that guy is talking about Clara.
[editline]16th May 2013[/editline]
Speculation:
Everybody used to speculate Clara will turn out to be CAL from the Library. [sp]What if CAL turns out to be Clara? CAL is one of them many splinters of Clara spread across the universe?[/sp]
that'd be hella awesome.
that'd be hella awesome.
As such, I assume I don't want to see it :v:
Damn it. Got to get through Friday, yet.
Oh Grizz. It's so close, yet so far.
What with all these spoilers I really hope you don't miss the part where Clara lives through the episode alive and well
[editline]16th May 2013[/editline]
because there's no reason she wouldn't right
hhhh SPOILERS THAT ARE SO TEMPTING. BUT I MUST RESIST.
Possible anniversary spoilers:
[sp]I was going to keep on feigning and say that Clara dies and her contract with series 8 is just a few brief cameos in background paintings. But then I just watched an interview with Matt Smith and he said that if he could give one clue without ruining everything it would be "paintings". Creepy.[/sp]
Anyone know of anything related to this?

[sp]That really would be amazing, and it could work. CAL didn't have a mother in her world, did she? Or at least not one we saw![/sp] :v:
Okay, let's start from the top so a scrub like you can understand.
1) Eleventh Hour: The Doctor discovers a crack in the wall of Amelia Pond's wall. He snaps it shut.
2) Random appearances of the crack all throughout the series, most of them LAMPSHADED BY THE FUCKING CAMERA.
3) Cold Blood: Rory dies because The Doctor spends too much time fawning over the crack in the wall. He reaches in and pulls out something, he doesn't know what yet. At the end of the episode it's revealed to be PART OF THE WRITING ON THE TARDIS DOOR. HINT HINT.
4) Pandorica Opens: The Pandorica is said to hold the greatest and most feared being in the Universe. It opens. It's empty. It's revealed that ALL of the Doctor's enemies, Daleks, Sontarans, Cybermen, Autons etc. joined forces to prevent the end of the universe.
They shove him in the box, ignoring his shouts that RIVER SONG IS IN THE TARDIS NOT HIM. River Song IS TRAPPED IN THE TARDIS, the Doctor knows that the current date that she's in is when the universe ends. She tries to escape but the TARDIS goes into meltdown and explodes. HINT HINT
5) ???
6) TL;DR, the TARDIS exploded at EVERY POINT IN TIME EVER DUE TO ITS NATURE, the reason is still unknown but it's implied to have been THE SILENCE who caused this to occur.
now go educate yourself.
Well fuck. Why didn't they just say the Silence fucking did it and I didn't know they were smart enough to trick the Daleks and all the enemies into putting the Doctor into the box. And, nah it wasn't exciting at all. Wait, in the series 6 final the Doctor explains to amy that the people only shoot the Silence creatures on site in the other reality, so why didn't they just imply that? If they're going to imply things and not explain much, the fact that the doctor did that in another reality pretty fucking obvious?
What, the glass screen inside the TARDIS cracking and that ominous voice saying "SILENCE WILL FALL" wasn't a hint enough?

Not 1 mention of those kids. Good.

It was pretty exciting journey's end was kind of boring tbh
oh no the daleks have invaded oh no literally everybody in this planet has a way to solve this problem oh look the daleks are gone ok and the only lasting effect they have was that another Doctor got created good one how powerful are those daleks huh
also noone knew who the silence was in series 5 it was meant to be a dark threatening entity that you wanted to know more about and it worked really well, you know the silence did it and manipulated the scene from above and the finale for series 5 had the promise that the next season would explain this
then season 6 suffered due to budget and blah blah blah and we ended up with a crappy silence organisation but series 5 in itself had a masterpiece two-parter finale
