Not sure if spoilers but [sp]Did no-one tell the writers that T-rex's were only 13ft tall, not 130 ft tall? The Tardis would be bigger than it's head.[/sp]

Did anyone else think the opening scene had a few weird shots? Like the one where the Doctor points at Clara, and where he says "Wrong!?", they've obviously been slowed down, but it doesn't look intentional. They were like that in the leaked episode too, but back then I just assumed they'd edited them to give an indication as to the pacing and were going to replace them with other shots later.

Heh, just read that [sp]12 wanted the droid to have a drink because 10 disabled one with wine previously[/sp]
Also, one thing that bugged me about [sp]the phone call with Eleven: when he said "I was young", he'd only just reset after several hundred years of being old. So it's a wonder he even remembered being young.[/sp]

[/sp]
Watching the episode right now. It's so much more enjoyable with correct audio-mastering Also, is it just me or is Strax becoming more and more of a Kinder Egg? :v:
Look at that sexy thing. It even makes wikipedia look good. BBCA still using that trailer music :v: Guess it took him a while to fetch that coffee. Also good to see this weapon do something.
I wonder if we'll see more of him acting like he did when he [sp]was saying "GIVE ME YOUR COAT"[/sp] That was really cool and scary in its own way.
and the trailer looks better because of it

A lot of the editing was really odd. Ben Wheatley didn't sit in during Post Production did he? Didn't he have to rush off to film something else? Maybe that explains the sound effects and post production I didn't like.
Should we be excited for next week? As you've seen the first 5.
I've only seen 4 and 9 (but you should definitely be excited for those!) [editline]24th August 2014[/editline]
It was odd. A lot of the editing was really odd. Ben Wheatley didn't sit in during Post Production did he? Maybe that explains the sound effects and post production I didn't like.
No he didn't and honestly that's why I think the episode isn't as good as it could have been (I think people blame it on Moffat when it isn't really his fault). If I recall correctly he didn't stay around for ANY post production at all, literally just filmed it and left. Some would even suggest he was just using Doctor Who as practice for his next film. Normally directors stay around for all of post production, some even have to get their contracts extended to stay for longer but Wheatley didn't. That's why the pace wasn't completely consistent and why we got sound effects as if they were from Looney Tunes. This is why I fear for episode two honestly.. it seems like a great idea but the chances are that it will have the same problems as Deep Breath. [editline]24th August 2014[/editline] I do think episode three will be quite good though.
[sp]Clara got rek'd by that newspaper I'm really waiting for someone to edit in a 'Critical Mission Failure' on top of that. EDIT: I went backed and checked, and indeed she gets rekt around 23:00[/sp]
Oh boy 24:30. There's even a tiny bit of Torchwood in the horse scene.
Anyone else think they overdid the kiddyness of the first half on purpose to over-emphasise 11's character still being in 12?
oh man that new opening
Probably just the speakers but some bits were slightly hard to hear in this episode the background music felt overpowering but great episode. [editline]24th August 2014[/editline] Also i admit i got teary [sp]When 11 called Clara I didn't realize until then how much Matt was one of my favorites[/sp].

Next scene, ears fell off from the volume.
I hope they re-balance the audio for the dvd and fix the issues in the series later
I knew the cameo was coming but it surprised me for another reason: [sp]soon as I saw Matt I thought "it's the Doctor!". I didn't really think that with Peter as he's still so new. It made me realise how different the two are. Then I remembered how I felt when Matt was first announced and how I hated him. I never noticed how much he had become The Doctor since then. [/sp] [editline]24th August 2014[/editline]
I hope they re-balance the audio for the dvd and fix the issues in the series later
People have been complaining about audio levels since 2005. I had massive problems with over powering music for Series 5. I couldn't hear much. Everybody else was fine. I've not had the problem since. It's all very odd. I thought the sound was fine... though I did crank it up instinctually at the start
The doctor who audio levels have always been fine for me and were fine in Deep Breath. I wonder why everyone has it different.
Another one for the history books.
It was probably the fact i'd had a couple of beers and just getting used to the new speaker system we have.
I wonder if we'll see more of him acting like he did when he [sp]was saying "GIVE ME YOUR COAT"[/sp] That was really cool and scary in its own way.
According to what I just read on the internet, yes he does. In episode 4 [sp]he has a moment that will make Tumblr and SJW lose their shit.[/sp]
That looney tunes sound effect when vastra knocked out the doctor was the worst part about the episode it was just completely out of place, you gotta wonder what they were thinking with that
The music that was used for [sp]11's phone call[/sp] was also used in the Symphonic Spectacular for Tom Baker's curator scene. I think it might have been a cut track from DotD. It's at about 11:00 in this video.
Are we getting another companion this year? Upcoming series speculation based on filming pictures and tweets from Samuel Anderson: [sp]The girl in Clara's flashback in Deep Breath will supposedly join the TARDIS team. She's played by Ellis George and Samuel Anderson who plays Danny tweeted she's a new member of the "who crew" alongside this image: http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/doctor-who-series-8-chairs-300x300.jpg. She's already confirmed to be in several episodes. Including next week and more. 1963: An old grumpy mysterious Doctor, two teachers and a student 2014: An old grumpy mysterious Doctor, two teachers and a student?[/sp]

On my TARDIS? The last time that happened it was one of the worst episodes under Moffat's charge, no thanks[/sp]
