It's already been confirmed Timelords can change gender.
The Doctor's Wife spoke of a character who swapped. The War Doctor novel includes a Timelord character who violently shifts through all past and possible regenerations (for fans of classic series who want to know who: [sp]Borusa[/sp])
So it's absolutely possible

It's also worth nothing that Tennant spike of 8.05 is basically unheard of. TV series don't spike like that a few years in. I fully expect another spike next year or the year after as Capaldi builds traction.

Oh I saw Jon Culshaw today in London.
He had his head down, dressed in a suit and was walking briskly into a tube station. I would've ask him to record me a Tom Baker ringtone but I decided he:
A) Didn't need to be bothered
B) was in a hurry
Was good to see everybody's favourite Doctor Who impersonator
Series 4 is really a mixed bag when you look at the ratings. Episodes 1,2, 12 & 13 lifted it up. It really wasn't a consistent ratings powerhouse. That said - I'm all for it happening again if just to shut the ignorant crowd up :v:
