Finally got round to watching RoT. It was surprisingly hilarious, really didn't expect that!
RoT?
Robot of Tottenham *** Blogtor Who Spoiler-Free Review
A very, very brave move from the current showrunner...
Link *** DWO Spoiler-Free Preview
The direction of this story really serves to heighten the fear in places, and make a simple blanket the most terrifying thing in the universe. It’s also good to see that - as with Robot of Sherwood last week - directors are finding new and interesting ways to use the TARDIS set. It feels huge here, and somehow manages to make even Peter Capaldi seem small here, when left alone with his thoughts.
RoT?
oops *RoS (Robot of Sherwood) So much for saving time
tottenham what the fuck haha :v:
Doctor Who writer Jane Baker has passed away.
Colin Baker has just tweeted the following: So very very sad to learn that Jane Baker of Pip and Jane fame - Doctor Who writers from my era - has died. My thoughts are with Pip. They scripted four serials for the programme in the 1980s: • The Mark of the Rani • The Trial of a Time Lord Parts 9–12 (Terror of the Vervoids) • The Trial of a Time Lord Part 14 (The Ultimate Foe) • Time and the Rani
always sad when doctor who people die :(
daily reminder that the day of the doctor/time of the doctor ost still hasn't been released yet like what the fuck murray please
I agree about Time - although perhaps not enough music to publish. You can already own a lot of what was used in Day of The Doctor, to my knowledge - bar variations.
there were a couple new things in day of the doctor, first thing that comes to mind is the bit before the majestic tale plays when the tardis is being carried by the helicopter. tho at the very least just the time of the doctor because i really need this in non-shitty quality

I think the best thing would be a 50th anniversary music box set with the music from DotD, TotD and An Adventure in Space and Time.
I think he means the more Torchwood-y piece in between Slitheen and Majestic. ( I noticed that there were a few Torchwood 'beats' in Deep Breath tracks, too.)

According to reports (Christmas) [sp]They have been filming at a house set to be Clara's childhood home for the last two days[/sp]
I think Pip and Jane Baker are the worst Doctor Who writers ever and I hate their stories, but I'm incredibly sad about Jane dying. You've gotta cherish the terrible stories with the good ones and Time and the Rani is a classic terrible episode. RIP.

Remind me never to check the Facebook comments on the Doctor Who page. "Just awful, turned it off halfway through" "The writing is so much worse now, bring back RTD" "Moffat needs to go" "Clara needs to go" "David Tennant was the best" I mean bloody hell. These comments get the most likes as well.
I enjoyed the episode even if it was just the first one again except without all the things that made the first one naff, and I found it amazing that Doctor Who's Robin Hood Episode was better than the BBC's series from a few years ago.

Just saying storylines are poor is hollow and holds no weight as there is no basis. "Storyline" by the way is IMPROPER terminology. You cant just shoe horn in what you believe to be smart words for us to actually take your argument seriously you have to actually apply thought."

Unless it's shown at a later date I'm going to assume that in the time the Doctor leaves Clara and returns for her in Deep Breath (just after having defeated the Clockwork dude) is when he saves Gallifrey with the other Doctors. It makes sense because he's angry after possibly just having to kill someone, hence the eyebrows. Plus he could have done it before changing the TARDIS's colour so it fits in continuity. The black suit he was wearing also possibly could fit instead of it just being 11's costume.

Surely any other incarnation of the Doctor after 12 would go and help also?

Or that's when the calculations stopped. (Trenzalore took a while)
Or that's when the calculations stopped. (Trenzalore took a while)
This is the actual answer Moffat provided.
GAAHH WE DON'T MENTION THAT ONE! Get it away! AWWWAAAYYY!!!
Robot of Sherwood Ratings Update Live + VOSDAL: 5.221m + Day 1 & 2: 6.657m + Day 3: 6.805m ** Den of Geek Spoiler-Free Review
This time, the comedy is dialled right down, as Moffat's script and Douglas Mackinnon's taut direction inject far more of a horror undertone. It would be fair to say from the outset that Listen is comfortably the creepiest, scariest episode of the series to date, and Mackinnon is clearly schooled in the idea that less is more when trying to get under our skin.
Link
Or that's when the calculations stopped. (Trenzalore took a while)
ok with this logic, surely the 11th Doctor thought it was gonna fail anyway? He must have known there was an incomplete number of Doctors up to him to pull it off, because he thought he was the last regeneration.

He must have known there was an incomplete number of Doctors up to him to pull it off, because he thought he was the last regeneration.
I'm pretty sure that's exactly what he thought, but he figured it would be worth giving it a go anyway since it was the only plan they had.
Only The Moment could have allowed communication with and pulled other Doctors in - therefore it/she would have brought in the right number as part of the plan.
I don't think anybody has considered what happened or what was said off-screen. Only The Moment could have pulled other Doctors in - therefore it/she would have brought in the right number as part of the plan.
I guess that makes sense.
