He will never leave. He'll be the Ken Barlow of Doctors. Minus the court case. Listen Ratings Update Live + VOSDAL: 4.808m + Day 1: 6.125m AI of 82. S8 is yet to receive an Excellent rating. But then, we seem to be reliving the past.
I wish Doctor Who would branch out and do primary filming outside of Wales every now and then. There's some beautiful locations on the British Isles and it's a shame Doctor Who can't be connected to more places.
I wonder where they filmed the bank exterior............. :v: That's actually the few seconds of filming that I missed in Cardiff.
I wonder where they filmed the bank exterior............. :v:
Looks like they filmed it in a rubbish unfinished mid 00s Star Wars game.
Apparently Daleks are canon to the Star Wars Universe
3.76m watched Episode 2 live. Good thing BARB is with the times.

I'm ridiculously excited for every episode post Time Heist. Specially Kill the Moon.
So I pinpointed my problem with the newest episode Danny's whole "I don't do weird" scene It really turned me off the character, and I hadn't exactly liked him from the start. Just when I had decided that I could begrudge him and Clara being together, Moffat comes out with that bull.
It's certainly not a filler episode as some accused. It continues to develop the relationship between The Doctor and Clara. Danny and Clara progress. We're even presented with a new mystery (why DOES child Doctor always cry?). Robots of Sherwood was a filler episode. You can skip it and Listen still makes sense.
I excepted peter to be the guy [sp] guy under the covers, even when he did show up looking for wally, i expected him to take it off, highfive himself while everyone was confused [/sp]

have to admit, i hadn't really noticed any decent music in the last few episodes but i found this and im already desperate for the s8 ost to be released
why did it turn you off the character?
He was acting far too intimidating and judging, he didn't even give her a chance to explain after interrogating her for an answer. If I were on a date with a guy and he came out with that bull, I probably wouldn't be too excited to talk to him again.
He was acting far too intimidating and judging
Yeah, after Clara walked out on him a minute or two previously for relatively silly reasons. They're pretty much on the same level.
he didn't even give her a chance to explain after interrogating her for an answer
Except for the part where he paused for a while and literally said 'explain it to me now then'?
If I were on a date with a guy and he came out with that bull, I probably wouldn't be too excited to talk to him again.
I think you're forgetting that this is after someone is acting so weirdly that you wouldn't be surprised if they were stalking you. It was a two way thing.
She knew his [sp]real name that no can possible know[/sp] so of course he's weirded out. His reaction is legitimate.
So just scrolling through IMDb I find it interesting that all the season 8 episodes have had at least one actor from Game of Thrones, and the upcoming episode as well.
Except for the part where he paused for a while and literally said 'explain it to me now then'?
And he still didn't press for an answer, he just walked out.
I think you're forgetting that this is after someone is acting so weirdly that you wouldn't be surprised if they were stalking you. It was a two way thing.
Really? That feels like a massive conclusion to jump to, when he's going on about 23 wells, something that most women, myself included, would /not be all that interested in/, so to anyone unlearned, he seems more like a psychopath.
She knew his [sp]real name that no can possible know[/sp] so of course he's weirded out.
So just scrolling through IMDb I find it interesting that all the season 8 episodes have had at least one actor from Game of Thrones, and the upcoming episode as well.
A lot of the actors in Game of Thrones are just reliable jobbing British actors. Once you start to recognise them they start turning up all over British TV.
That and the two shows have schedules that compliment eachother [editline]15th September 2014[/editline]
Really? It was an awkward date. Both said stupid things spurred by nerves. Both felt stupid. Both apologised in the end. If you're a psycopath for doing or saying something stupid infront of somebody you like then I would say most of us are.
And he still didn't press for an answer, he just walked out.
But you said that was intimidating? You can't have it both ways.
Really? That feels like a massive conclusion to jump to, when he's going on about 23 wells, something that most women, myself included, would /not be all that interested in/, so to anyone unlearned, he seems more like a psychopath.
See Dan's response.
And you're saying you'd rather walk out than get to the bottom of that?
It was pretty clear she wasn't going to tell him the truth there. He was in his right to walk out.
But you said that was intimidating? You can't have it both ways.
He literally leaned over the table to give her an intimidating glare. He tried for all of fifteen seconds, attempted to scare her, then left. If he doesn't want to inform his date of something then why does she have to, anyway? Bit hypocritical.
People aren't perfect ... That's what makes interesting characters
He literally leaned over the table to give her an intimidating glare.
No, he leaned over the table because he was leaving - did you expect him to sit back down?
He tried for all of fifteen seconds, attempted to scare her, then left.
He didn't attempt to scare her at all, where are you getting that from? Why should he be the one to try when she's acting really weird.
If he doesn't want to inform his date of something then why does she have to, anyway? Bit hypocritical.
What wasn't he going to inform her of?

Look at how intensely he stares at her, even going as far as to stick his face RIGHT UP TO HERS. He avoids talking about the killing in the war, so if he wants her to give him that respect, why the fuck can't she want the same from him? Now let's fucking stop this because not one goddamned opinion is changing any time soon here and this chat is getting cluttered.
I swear to fucking god, go watch the episode again. Look at how intensely he stares at her, even going as far as to stick his face RIGHT UP TO HERS.
It wasn't THAT close - even if it was it's not a reason to hate the ENTIRE character.
He avoids talking about the killing in the war, so if he wants her to give him that respect, why the fuck can't she want the same from him?
Big difference between avoiding talking in detail about something (it's pretty obvious he DID kill people in the war, he just didn't want to go into detail) and literally saying nothing at all about the fact that you may be a stalker.
Now let's fucking stop this because not one goddamned opinion is changing any time soon here and this chat is getting cluttered.
I think you're getting a bit overly frustrated/angry about this pretty calm discussion about a relatively small detail. It's no big deal dude, this thread is meant for discussion about the episode and that's what we're doing. If you want to step out of the discussion it's fine by me too. :v:
I think I figured out one of the reasons the ambiguity over [sp]the actual existance of the monster(s)[/sp] in the latest episode irked me so much. [sp]I don't like being told a cool thing doesn't exist and those hypthetical perfect hiders are a cool idea.[/sp]

However, all three seem to love this episode in entirety, so I'm left with one friend as the only other person who shares my opinion. I'm sorry for getting so bothered about it.

Oh man, that was legitimately one of my favorite Doctor Who episodes EVER. Seriously, Capaldi just keeps getting better and better if you ask me.
