Rings of Akhaten has the best 11 speech in my opinion but the episode as a whole was dire. Also The Long Song is objectively the best piece of music marigold has ever done so that redeems it a tiny bit.
I was indifferent to 7B as a whole and the speech in that was one of the few times I've actually been gripped by a speech in Moffat's run, so it stood out for me
For me it's gotta be:
1: Dalek
2: The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit
3: Blink
4: Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead
5: The Eleventh Hour + Vincent and the Doctor
6A: The Doctor's Wife
6B: The Girl Who Waited
7A: The Power of Three
7B: Cold War
8: Listen
Probably some unpopular choices there, but whatever.
I can't tell whether to disagree because I don't think your choices are unpopular or agree because the choices are decent.
Sigh. The trials of a Facepuncher.
1: Father's Day
2: School Reunion
3: Human Nature/Family of Blood
4: The Unicorn and the Wasp
5: The Lodger
6: The God Complex
7a: The Power of Three
7b: Cold War
8: Robot of Sherwood
These are not 'the best', but rather the ones I found myself liking a lot, despite their flaws.
1:Empty child/Doctor Dances
2:School Reunion
3:Blink
4:Silence in the library/Forest of the dead
Special: The next doctor
5:The eleventh hour
6a:Doctor's wife
6b:The God complex
7a:Asylum of the daleks
7b:Journey to the centre of the TARDIS
8:Listen

a lot of your choices are my second favourite episodes, you have good taste
A Town Called Mercy, though? Really? Reeeeeeeeeeally? Probably my least favourite episode of 7a.
About to watch Turn Left. I fucking love this episode. Alternate history gives me a massive hard on.
I liked Mercy. Probably something to do with me and Westerns :v:
Mercy was such a forgettable episode
1: Empty Child 2 parter
2: Satan Pit 2 parter
3: Utopia 3 parter
4: Midnight
Specials: Waters of Mars
5: The Lodger
6a: The Doctor's Wife
6b: The Girl Who Waited
7a: Asylum of the Daleks
7b: Night of the Doctor
8: Listen
Mercy is my most consistently mediocre episode in a large run of underwhelming episodes. Least likely to piss me off.
A lot of picks for Power of Three, whereas I know I only rewatched that for Jemma Redgrave. Just bad feelings for S7 in general.
No forgettable episodes for me - no matter how much I wish there were.
A lot of picks for Power of Three, whereas I know I only rewatched that for Jemma Redgrave.
and the direction of course :v:
7b: Night of the Doctor
do the anniversary specials count as 7b? if so I'd choose day of the doctor instead of name of the doctor in my list.
i didn't count the specials as s7 because they're not, really
Spoopy Gasmask Kids
I don't like Season 2 at all really, so love and monsters because it's the most memorable
Blink
Donna in general/The one she wasn't in
The Van Gogh One
Putting Hitler in the Closet
Stature of Liberty Angel
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
wait no change the season 6 one to Stormageddon
Hey I wanna be involved too
1: Dalek
2: The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit
3: To be fair, everything from Human Nature to Last of the Time Lords is toptastic. But if I had to pick one story, it'd be Blink. So... Blink.
4: Turn Left
5: The Lodger
6a: The Doctor's Wife
6b: I don't really have a favourite here. Uhhh... The God Complex was okay I guess.
7a: The Power of Three
7b: Again, don't have a favourite, but I guess Cold War was okay
8: Listen
I've got a feeling I'm going to not find the next episode as enjoyable as it really is because I associate heists with the Dead Money DLC of Fallout: New Vegas and that's some of my personal storytelling wank material. I might judge it too harshly considering, even if they're two vastly different stories.

Shit I meant Name but I got confused with all the 'Of the Doctor'.
Take away my Doctor Who Fan membership card. I fucked up.
Don't remember seeing this posted before.

all this talk of favourite episodes is making me sad that we didn't see more Jacobi Master :(
Oh, are we doing this again? Very well:
1: Dalek
2: Impossible Planet/Satan Pit
3: Lazarus Experiment
4: Midnight
5: Pandorica Opens/Big Bang
6: God Complex
7: Bells of St. John
8: Listen
4 includes The Next Doctor to End of Time, 7 includes Day of the Doctor and Time of the Doctor

Also, BBC Books totally nicked my old avatar for the new short story collection (it's the 50th anniversary collection plus a 12th Doctor story):

Fight me, I don't like David Tennant's Doctor. He was a condescending narcissist who led on people, except for the pretty blonde white ones. He also reminds me a lot of my ex, so I project all my hatred of him on to the character. I am objectively right, tho.
Eccleston come back pls

stop the fighting you're tearing this thread apart
Just what the master ordered I suppose.
David Tennant wasn't the best doctor, Paul McGann is
Jon Pertwee best Doctor
Somebody lit up the screener version of the barn scene in Listen - so that we might better see the The Boy Doctor before he becomes William Hartnell.
