I'd give Time Heist a 6 at most. Worst episode of s8 so far.
I'd give it a 5 but I haven't really enjoyed a single s8 episode
Your invitation to the Golden Age was revoked, that's why!
I'd give it a 5 but I haven't really enjoyed a single s8 episode
are you sure you enjoy doctor who? there's pretty much been something for everyone this series (even more so including next week's).
Happy Birthday to me and Billie Piper

Happy Birthday!
I won't be happy until the theme has more 1963

They teased me with the 7b theme, and they took it away from me.

That's glorious. Maybe Moffat will see this and use it too!
I'd give time hiest a 6, it's not the worst Doctor Who I've ever seen *COUGH*TWIN DILEMMA*COUGH* and it's not the worst of this series in my opinion, it was just rather bland for me, not great or terrible just dead on in the middle and plain average, there was no real bite to it, it wasn't offensively bad or anything and there was no "There is ample air in my lungs bit" or 'tear down the cheek' bit it was just...
A thing...
Still here's hoping Doctor Who meets Garrus is a better one and makes me feel something, even if it is anger that is better than nothing!

We have to go deeper:

Remember when Doctor Who was too complicated for children?
Now it's too scary and too late for children.
This is a very simple Doctor Who-based question, with very simple rules.
Answer "yes" if you think Doctor Who HAS become unsuitable for children, answer "no" if you think it IS still suitable for children.
So they say it's a simple question with two choices. Poll has three possible answers. Imagine tabloids controlled the Scottish Referendum:
"Yes", "No", "I'd like it sometimes".

Heh, I like 12's leg flick as he sets off the TARDIS at the end of Ep5 :v:
Watching that again - I thought something seemed strange. The console room is all blue and green again. I prefer it when he has the lights down, so the orange glow can have an impact.

The only time I've ever seen anything in Doctor Who that I thought may have been unsuitable was back in the dark age of who during the 6th and 7th Doctor's time, like in the episode Dragonfire were we see the bad guys face melt away in a Indian Jones-esuqe way or in one of the 6th Doctor's were he knocks a guy into a vat of acid and makes a witty quip. Of course that was in the run up to the first two cancellat-sorry the series break and indefinite hiatus when no one was watching it anyway so it really makes no difference!
The cinematography when they entered the bank reminded me a lot of BBC's Hustle. Though I assume that was the point.
The overhead shot of a vast entrance hall reminded me of the entrance to the Ministry of Magic. And there was something like a polyjuice potion crossed with the skittles ad reference in the transformation abilities of Saibra
I'd give Time Heist a 6 at most. Worst episode of s8 so far.
Deep Breath was way worse, seriously.
Jenny and Vastra and the looney tunes sound effect and the generic plot was way worst.
there is no worst of series 8 for me yet really, they've all been at worst good
There hasn't been an episode I absolutely loved yet, but they've all been good.

this is the face of an asshole child character if i ever saw one
Totally the point. Bet Kill the Moon will scare her into behaving herself. If she survives.
"By the end of the episode - once you've started breathing again after a final scene that Steven Moffat calls his favourite this year - you may wonder where the Doctor goes from here."
'If' :v:
"you may wonder where the Doctor goes from here"
Probably somewhere that looks a bit like Wales
Golden Age invitation revoked.

What
how is him being a soldier in any way 'keeping their politically correct standards'?
What

It's cos he black.
Sam thinks that they're persisting with somewhat bad acting because he's black and BBC needs to have more black people.
1. they do need to have more than just white people in Who
2. bad acting in non-Doctor characters has been a staple of Who since the 2005 reboot
3. not ever instance where bad acting happens and it's not white men acting together is 'political correctness gone mad and ruining my show for me' - most of the time it's just bad direction and a bad dynamic between the actors and a lack of time and budget to fix these issues, just like in every other filmic production
the relationship between Clara and Danny feels like the most forced thing BBC has ever done to keep their politically correct standards
erm
I think I just need time to grow on him, just like mickey
in the beginning I thought he would be boring as hell but later on he was cool

Remember when we thought this guy might be the new companion?
[editline]23rd September 2014[/editline]
Also if the Doctor doesn't at least make a passing remark about this guy's appearance, I'll be pretty disappointed.
i just realised my gripe with time heist. it wasn't bad, don't get my wrong. i enjoyed it. i wasn't that the monster love-story has been done before. it wasn't the constant corridors.
i just wanted them to go full ocean's 11 and steal something cool as fuck

for a reason like not being killed, i have no idea. it seemed they threw in time travel there for a reason, but it could have easily been "so we're not killed by someone watching us". and then they could outsmart whoever is in charge and do the right thing by putting the item back or whatever.
i just wanted an actual kick-ass heist.
the new series gotham just started, has sean pertwee as alfred pennyworth
he really does look and sound just like jon
