I hope I Am The Doctor is actually gone from the next-time trailers for Series 9. It's far too cheerful for the Kill the Moon trailer.
"Because I love him" That moment needed a little something after it. Hmm... I think I've got it!
What I'm not entirely following this series is the Doctor's sudden hate for Soldiers. He had respect for them in the past. The Brigadier, the Soldier's from Unit, etc. In the Time of Angels he worked with Soldiers, and hell in Cold War he even said about the Ice Warrior; "This is a soldier, and it deserves our respect."
Now he knows that he didn't kill all the Time Lords, he's probably a bit less fond of soldiers. The Doctor's surprisingly selfish at times.

But they are still capable of earning his respect. ( Plus he had to have the crew show Skaldak respect, so that they wouldn't all be killed immediately ) *** The Doctor giving Clara instructions with the sonic could so have been Malcolm explaining his plan to prevent a PR disaster :v:
So yeah I'm about a third of the way through. Cool so far, and it looks like the Doctor got a Cloak And Dagger watch off the Spy from TF2.
not really sure about how i felt about that episode, to be honest. it didn't feel as impacting as the other ones, even time heist felt more energizing. this one was just.. eh, cool, sure, but not amazing.
Another instance of Missy and her Afterlife program, it seems. Seems like it's more than just her being a one-woman company, now she's got additional staff in this peculiar enterprise... Also it looks like the next episode is gonna be similar to The Waters of Mars, world within our solar system, a threat that must never reach Earth, pioneering colony, that kinda thing. Only this time it is Moon spiders rather than a Martian water virus. Consider me eager for next week.
Personally it's my joint second favourite of the season so far. Capaldi, Coleman and Anderson all nailed it. I think I like Danny more than Clara. I dare say Danny could become my favourite male companion since Brig. Courtney's one problem was some really naff dialogue. What children speak like that? Otherwise played quite well. Her scenes with The Doctor were really funny. Her parents were quite charming too. [editline]28th September 2014[/editline] An old friend dropped by while filming Casualty in the same building: I know Grizz posted it. But it's amazing.
the next episode has pretty much been spoiled unless it's misleading (which is possible) in the next time trailer the dialogue clearly states you have to choose between killing one person or the entire population of earth. obviously the doctor will kill that one person (or try to) rather than saving them both and be okay with it. if it does end up being that it's not exactly as big of a thing as people are making it out to be.
The Doctor straight up murdering a dude with no remorse would be dark though, I couldn't see 11 or 10 doing that. He'd try and save them no matter what. Can't wait for next week.
Cool shot ( just because it isn't a Mackinnon shot ) Hoping Courtney ends up there next. 12 failing to stop that happening would be a bigger thing.
heh there was a pink floyd reference during the chess board bit :v
I remember that bit, nice touch. Nothing wrong with a bit of Floyd.

episode was ok but that flip... yuck

okay, let me rephrase, straight up murder someone innocent. I still don't like The Nightmare Child btw, I feel bad that Davros had to fly into her jaws.

i laughed hard at the subtle pink floyd reference. i was not expecting that.
Question for the Brits in this thread: I've read a few articles, stating that British fans find Capaldi's accent and rapid speech difficult to understand. I'm American, and have never had trouble understanding Capaldi's Doctor. Is he REALLY that hard to understand? Also. . .after that cop's charred hand hitting the floor, can we FINALLY stop referring to Doctor Who as a "kid's show?"
i also loved the throwback to An Unearthly Child - "Home sweet home"
We're at the halfway point! I'll see you all in six months for the second half. ( :v: ) "My God.." "Sorry, she's a bit busy today.."
According to the Internet, the Master will return in an older form and still remain rogue. Seriously though, why? He saved the Doctor's life and gained vengeance, exclaiming to Rasillon he corrupted him. Well if they're saying goodbye to John Simm and ruining his character, that's just... bull-friggin-horseshit.
The only actor who could possibly take over from John Simm is Aaron Paul.
The only actor who could possibly take over from John Simm is Aaron Paul.
"Yeah, regeneration! TIME LORD SCIENCE, BITCH!"
John Simm wasn't that good. I liked him but he wasn't my type of Master. He was too hyperactive. I prefer a sinister subtle Master. Dance would nail it. But I don't think he's coming back yet. The Master hates Rassilon, but he still craves power and domination. He'd still clash with The Doctor. The drumming didn't make him do everything- he's evil and deranged [editline]28th September 2014[/editline] Overnight: 4.89 million So would that have been significantly lower without Strictly leading in and Peter on Noton? Ouch. I imagine it'll still time shift well

I imagine it'll still time shift well
It's a very good result against The X Factor. Proof that DW can still hold it's own - isn't even the lowest overnight of the series. One has it's next episode today. The other, next Saturday. When it comes to a choice of watching live, I can guess what was chosen. [sp]the wrong one[/sp] However, if things remain consistent - it does seem likely that Series 8 will be the lowest rated of modern Who. Even if it went away without an episode dipping under 7m, something the others haven't, the peaks haven't been high enough. Still the GOLDEN AGE 11/10
[sp]A Sad/Mad Man With a Box[/sp] was nice to hear.
I had an idea that promised land for these people who died is going to turn out to be something like when we met Oswin.
Watching some of the 12 vs Danny scenes again, Capaldi is so great with toxic dialogue
