... you mean the episode that was titled stolen earth? the series 3 finale?
I meant does the earth in doctor who remember it after the universe reboot?
If Courtney ruins Kill The GOAT then I'll hate Moffat forever. I don't want my GOLDEN AGE ruined by a shitty annoying child actor.
Kill the goat?
and Grizz what did you mean by "I'm guessing [sp] Chris Addison... he took over from Capaldi in a previous life[/sp]"
Also please Capaldi stay for 4 + seasons
I love when Paul McGann breaks my right leg too
That did make me cringe a bit when I was looking over the photo later, admittedly. Pants never help with that, it just makes it look weirder than it actually seems.

When Malcom Tucker steps down in the last episode of The Thick of It, Chris Addison's character becomes the new director of communications.

Ahh
While they're incredible stories, I always thought the invasions and everything from the RTD era felt a bit wierd. Let's take Doomsday for example.
[sp]Cybermen and Daleks invade the earth and the humans fight back. Thousands of people die in this war. And then the next episode people are like "Ah yeah, that war from last week.
Thousands of people died. Well, just an avarge day on planet earth." So, earth just had an alien invasion and after it they just rebuild the things that were destroyed and kinda forget it?
They're not even going to worry anymore about more aliens and go on with their daily lifes? They kinda don't even care about the people that died?
They don't research for example a body of a cyberman to get scientific advancements? I really hope this gets explained one day as this bugs me out.[/sp]
In Series 1 The Doctor explains to Mickey that the human race would believe anything it's told.
Even though an alien ship smashed into Big Ben and parliament was blown up, everybody believed it was a hoax.

Hope there's an EP change during that time. Enjoyed the Moffat Era. Love his ambition. Love the explosion in popularity around the world. But "New Who" isn't new any longer - Moffat's New-New Who has been strung along - and I know that this show is built on change. Going in to Year 10, I hope a worthy shake-up is in the wings to secure more years to come.
Be nice to see 12 / Capaldi cross eras, I think. With a good selection of varied companions over the years. Of course, if S8 and S9 are truly GOLDEN AGE 11/10, I hold the right to edit this post in 2015.
... you mean the episode that was titled stolen earth? the series 3 finale?
you say it like he's silly not remembering but the ironic thing is is that it was series 4 not series 3
uh...
fffuuck i was thinking it was series 3 because it had martha in it
but of course it was s4, doctor donna and all that jazz

I bide my time until an official release.
Wasn't that part of 11's regeneration music?

Even if Series 9 is the fucking pinnacle of Who and gets 2 billion people overnight I'd want Moffat to go after that. Just for something fresh.
Unless this new direction he promised pops up. At the moment he's essentially writing the sort of Doctor Who he wrote under RTD. Which is what I've wanted from the start really but it's hardly anything new so far.
Wasn't that part of 11's regeneration music?
that ending scene with [sp]with clara and danny[/sp] is definitely alluding to what happens in EP8, from what i can tell from the synopsis so far
Some guy up there asked me what Kill the GOAT means (Kill the Greatest of All Time, AKA, Kill the GOLDEN FUCKING AGE). Courtney is gonna suck in Kill The Moon, I'm not hyped for that at all. Hype for Darkpaldi though!
Oh also, if you ever want to see ElectronicG19 sucking off thin air and eating whipped cream off his friend's arse while on stage hypnotised, watch a TV show called Freshers on ITV2 in February.
I also was made to imagine that I had a pet pig in my arms. I called her Clara. Make of that what you will :v:
THat's an actual thing your knees can have though, hyperextension in the joints.
I have it in my knees aswell, but not as bad as in the photo, which makes my calves bend forward a bit like that when I stand straight instead of lining up straight with the thighs :v:
Don't believe you, Paul is known for his leg breaking

I was on that. Kind of.
They filmed me for Freshers Series 1. I wasn't a fresher or anything, I was third year. I managed the student radio station and they video'd me taking the first meeting. One of the freshers they were following wanted to join radio. She had a bit of entourage of other students who desperately wanted to get on TV by proximity (one did in the end and was totally humiliated but she's too thick to realise).
I was confident and fine with the filming... until they shoved a camera in my face. I got sweaty and the microphone which they had stuck to me had unstuck from my chest and landed on my stomach where it recorded various upset tummy noises. The sound guy was sitting in the corner with headphones on looking disgusted. They quickly left. They even forgot to collect their microphone equipment which they left on me. I had to go after them.
They didn't use any of the footage. The girl didn't even join the radio station. They just needed something to make her look interesting I guess so she needed to join some kind of society. As otherwise she was boring and her dumb as shit friend was much more interesting and desperate for attention.
So,[sp]thousands of people died and the human race is just being told by UNIT or Torchwood I guess that they're all on one big holiday? And that the war between the Daleks and Cybermen was an surprise play? That doesn't make sense to me.
If the canon answer is UNIT or Torchwood or both do really manipulate with the memories on earth and thus for example whipe them after an alien invasion, and I'd be fine with that. That would explain why they wouldn't care about friends or family that died in the Doomsday war as they can't even remember them.[/sp]
Obviously it doesn't apply to everything. The other things are known to have happened. Adelaide in Waters of Mars remembered the Dalek Invasion in Stolen Earth. But then in Series 5 it was implied that since the entire event has fallen in a crack in space and time and nobody on earth remembers it. Same reason nobody remembers the giant Cyberman in Victorian England. I think a character in Torchwood once referred to Doomsday or something as "something in the water". I can't remember. But it's probably best not to worry about all these things it's not really important.
Also what the hell with the spoiler tags for something that happened over half a decade ago, some of which nearly a full decade ago?
I thought the reason why no one remembered the big stuff happening was because of the cracks from a couple series ago.
Hell even 11th Doctor wonders why no one remembers the big things happening giant Cyberman that attacked Victorian London, so when even the characters in the show are wonder what the hell is going on you know something doesn't add up.

seriously there's so much cool stuff that often doesn't make it to the osts that they should just release all of modern DW with just the music track
When I see goat in all-caps, I think of the G.O.A.T in Fallout 3.
Also I'm still very surprised they've not done a full-on First Contact episode. The Doctor says in the first Christmas special that no-one could deny the Sycorax ship over London, but nothing seems to come of that. The closest they've gotten is the episode that reintroduced the Silurians. Maybe I'm just thinking this because I watched Star Trek: First Contact recently...
This week's logo promo... still, good to see they're seemingly promoting each episode this year.

They're really trying to get the most mileage out of that spacesuit, aren't they?
I really like they keep the spacesuit in. It gives a consistency with previous space episodes with them, like The Imposible Planet/Satan Pit, Waters of Mars, and Hide.
But it's consistensy that doesn't need to be there. The original suit from Impossible Planet was from a space base in a different galaxy, in the future. Why would near future moon-dwellers be wearing the same suit?
But it's consistensy that doesn't need to be there. The original suit from Impossible Planet was from a space base in a different galaxy, in the future. Why would near future moon-dwellers be wearing the same suit?
Budget cuts? :v:

They're not. Only the TARDIS team is.
The moon-dwellers are wearing white suits.
We can assume The Doctor stole the suits and kept them. The only person to use one since that story who hasn't been in the TARDIS beforehand is Orsan Pink. But he could've got it from a family member and kept it.
It's a big universe, sometimes space suits in it happen to be orange :v:
[editline]29th September 2014[/editline]
Hell, with all these stories of people on spaceships getting saved by some guy who came outta nowhere, having orange suits couple just become a good luck charm type of thing.
Some ratings stuff for ratings fans..
Downton Abbey is down 1.5m on last series.
X Factor is down 1.3m on last series.
Strictly is down 93k on last series.
Doctor Who is up 28k on the closest available "sixth-episode" slot (The Crimson Horror)
The BBC reports that Doctor Who is the Saturday night show not to suffer a ratings hit, despite being shown an hour later against strong competition.
BBC1 BARB w/e 21st September:
1. GBBO - 10.28m
2. Doctor Who - 6.99m
3. New Tricks - 5.47m
4. Our Girl - 5.22m
5. Our Zoo - 5.21m
No update for The Caretaker, yet.
Another synopsis for Saturday which may inadvertently give away the big twist:
[sp]There are some inexplicable events happening on the Moon in 2049, as the Doctor, Clara, and Clara's 15-year-old pupil Courtney, discover when they find themselves on an eventful trip there this week.
After crash-landing on the lunar surface, the three are confronted by a group of human astronauts, captained by Captain Lundvik, played by In the Club star Hermione Norris. The astronauts are armed with nuclear bombs and primed for a deadly mission - to blow up the moon!
There's more danger too, as the group is attacked by scary spider-like creatures who scuttle around in the dark. But the Doctor quickly works out the spiders are not the cause of the Moon's problems. Rather, they are living off something much bigger and it is still growing!
Soon a very hard decision has to be made, do they destroy the moon to ensure mankind's survival - or do nothing and risk the Earth's destruction? It is a terrible dilemma that causes real friction in Clara and the Doctor's relationship.[/sp]
In the trailer Clara said they had to choose between "an innocent life" or "the future of all mankind".
So my prediction for the episode: [sp]The team discover The Moon is alive and the spiders are feeding off it. The team still want to blow up the moon to save The Earth. The Doctor agrees with them instead of finding an alternative. It upsets Clara who insists there should be another way.[/sp]
Pretty sure Courtney's head will swell and mutate à la Face of Boe and become a time travelling moon.
