'it takes someone very unimaginative to see through the physic paper'
that makes literally no sense at all to me but ok cool, cheers. so does that mean Shakespeare and Van Gough are unimaginative?
that makes literally no sense at all to me but ok cool, cheers. so does that mean Shakespeare and Van Gough are unimaginative?
No, there are multiple ways of seeing through the physic paper (eg being very mentally strong like shakespeare or having so little imagination that your mind can't mentally create a fake image like the dude in this episode etc).
so why could that dick see through psychic paper? i thought it'd be a big thing but it wasnt.. did i miss a quick line explaining it? Freeze?
I assumed it was a side-effect of the dimension absorbing.
Love the monsters and this probely claras best ep so far
So, about the three people we've seen in 'Heaven' so far: [sp]When they went to Heaven, there was nothing left of them. Gretchen and the police officer were disintegrated/ blown to bits, and the Half-Face Man had replaced his components so many times that he basically did not exist any more. I wonder if this could be relevant?[/sp]
Holy shit that was a fantastic episode. Jamie Mathieson writes some really great episode. I really hope he writes again in series 9.
Wait, he did last weeks too? Jesus, sign him up for head writer please.

[editline]18/10/2014[/editline] Anyway, just finished the episode. Oh god that was good. Awesome idea for aliens, and genuinely creepy in a Silent Hill 4 kind of way. Jamie Mathieson is a beaut and can't wait for his next episode.
do why was Moffat hyping up Harness so much and not Mathieson?

It sounded somewhat like it) probably counts as being [sp]entirely destroyed[/sp].
Also did anyone spot the number on the first train? [sp]A113 - the Pixar animators' college room[/sp]

Or as Steven refers to it: 'The Jamie Mathieson era.' Thanks to everyone both in front of and behind the camera for making my words come alive. It's been a blast.
http://jamiemathieson.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/tiny-tardis-of-terror.html God, the idea of the Doctor reaching through the little TARDIS door and poking someone in the eye would have just been brilliant.
Mathieson is potential showrunner in my eyes. Good job all round
Don't say he should be show runner! You'll hurt Mark Gatiss' feelings!
Don't say he should be show runner! You'll hurt Mark Gatiss' feelings!
But but but these last two episodes have been everything DW is. Dark, light, ridiculous and charming.
Another great episode. This series is shaping up to be one of the best.
Another great episode. This series is shaping up to be one of the best.
"shaping up" there are only two stories left (three eps tho, hooray for the first two parter since s6p1!!!!!)

[IMG_thumb]http://giant.gfycat.com/BountifulHelpfulBengaltiger.gif[/IMG_thumb] I loved this little animation sequence.
[IMG_thumb]http://giant.gfycat.com/BountifulHelpfulBengaltiger.gif[/IMG_thumb] I loved this little animation sequence.
Just play the start of this on top of it and you're done. That whole sequence was awesome.
I really really enjoyed this week's episode, it had the perfect balance of everything for me and kind of felt like a old school who too here and there, possibly it was the fact the episode started pretty much on urban wasteland site and was then almost entirely done in warehouses and tunnels, which I liked, well that and the fact this episode came very close to scaring me, which is hard to do with Who full stop. Did also kind of remind me of series one of new who, possibly because of the council estate or maybe the fact the episode felt inspired by something and was reflective of something real and recognizable, maybe, either way, fantastic episode, really really liked it!
When the hand grabbed Jeff From Casualty and dragged him down the tunnel.. that went a little too long. It looked like Matt Bardock was smiling at the ridiculousness in the end. A hand grabbing him and pulling him into the dark would've been better as his disembodied scream filled the tunnel before fading into silence. Poor Matt Bardock seemingly can't do a BBC Saturday night show without being suddenly violently dispatched. I hope he's never on Strictly. It would become a massacre.

Malcolm finally has theme music.

The sound that returned to everyone's ears after 25 years absence.
[editline]19th October 2014[/editline] Could you give us the scene that it is in?
Two good episodes in a row that would have been great if they didn't suffer from the typical Moffat era issues (poor audio, rushed endings and overuse/unclear usage of the SS). BTW, in this instance I'm referring to the Moffat era as the whole Doctor Who production and not just the head writer. I'm tempted to say that Jamie Mathieson should be the new show runner as he seems to be the most competent writer writing for Doctor Who ATM, however I'd need to see a few more episodes written by him to make up my mind. There's a small chance his era may overuse planes and trains, just like "timey wimey" and the Moffatisation of the Doctor's past is currently overused. Next week doesn't look too promising; bunch of kids, earlier time and the writer seems like a right IRA supporter. Obvious this episode is aimed more at children. Hope I'm wrong though.
[editline]19th October 2014[/editline] Could you give us the scene that it is in?
Around exactly 11 minutes in when Clara makes the Doctor open the doors. There's no video of the scene online I can find.
