When the Jamie Mathieson Era arrives, you have to talk about it. I have no expectations for this week's episode - nor have I read the previews. But now that two people have said it "could be shit" as a result of them, I'm reminded of why I haven't read the previews.
The best part about Capaldi is that his acting can carry an episode even if the writing is shit.
The best part about Capaldi is that his acting can carry an episode even if the writing is shit.
Every Doctor has been capable of that, IMO. They have all had to carry some nonsense and pull it off tremendously. Which lends itself to the saying.... ...there has never been a bad Doctor.
I guess Doctor Who experience is the best place for a Doctor Who meet. But it would be nice to hang out as people instead of Doctof Who fans. Like a bar in London (as it's an easy place to reach even from abroad) or a night doing something. But then we got to consider different ages too.... Freeze, the answer is obvious. Get us a group set visit.
I'm from Cardiff area and right by the Doctor Who Experience are nice posh places for drinks / food, its right next to Cardiff Bay and there is a bus service that takes you straight to the centre of Cardiff where there shopping centers and bars like Spoons
Mimosa. :v:
Mind you though, I can sorta see where all the hate for Smith came from if that was the only picture anybody had seen of him. He does look a bit smug.

You don't realise how much Matt changed through his time at the Doctor until you watch The Eleventh Hour again and see that pretty much everything is different. Even the hair.
For some reason, I've never saw this picture. It's really lovely picture.
When this picture came out the Doctor Who fan world was full of hate. Outpourings of love by the time this picture came out. That was such a feel good time to be a fan. Can still watch that episode with rampant enthusiasm. Best episode. Shame it lacked a certain northerner.
Mmm, Capaldi told us to [sp]trust no-one[/sp] during the World Tour. If it isn't [sp]Danny[/sp], I'll be suitably shocked.
I honestly believe Missy is Clara. She's turning into a megalomaniac. Also - Courtney calls her Miss C at some point. Miss C = Missy.
I sort of wish I didn't know about who Missy is so I could speculate with you guys. Considering all the theories people have I think it proves that Moffat is still the master of over arcing plot threads (in my opinion anyway). Way better than just having the words 'bad wolf' written everywhere when you have no context to what those words mean.

River "you'll never see this reveal coming" Song all over again. Price of en masse speculation, I guess :( Sooner or later, somebody is going to get it right.

Down to the T?
yes considering how many comments on doctor who I've read and heard over the past month though or so, someone was bound to get it right

Tearduct and all. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline] Dream: Romana who regenerates at the end and becomes the next companion Worst case: It's River. Somehow. Likely: An original character who's grabbing people from time seconds before they die/repairing clockwork robots. A delusional Doctor fan. Like real Doctor Who fans. Collecting aspects of his life and creating a museum. Won't let anything be free and return to where it belongs, let's her collection lose it's place in the world as time moves on without it. She doesn't care about the wellbeing of her collection aslong as she and her delusioned fan club have it for themselves. Maybe even inspired by a real life episode hunter rumoured to be keeping old missing episodes for himself until his ludicrous demands are met.
23 Hours later and I read the first tweet about Dark Water :v:
Yikes that's how to do hype in less than 140 characters. Apparently there was no next time trailer for the episode at the end of Forest either.
According to NeonVisual, Missy is the Doctor. Yes, he's still on about how Peter Capaldi's the Valeyard.
[Missy is the]next regen. She saves all the people the valeyard kills and then does some moffat magic to make sure she and capaldi never existed. Thus, we get a female doctor without actually getting a female doctor, and perhaps a new doctor at the xmas special without the hype and leadup. If I were a producer who wanted to cast an angry evil couldn't-give-a-damn doctor, Capaldi would be the perfect choice. Every week he's getting darker and darker, now it seems he's quite happy to kill some to save others, and not really care about it. Missy also said in deep breath that she would keep the accent.. the camera cut away when capaldi potentially pushed the clockwork droid over the edge (why would that part be hidden anyway?), "my clara"... etc, etc. ---- Also, capaldi's regen was kinda sudden, don't you think? Maybe all the "good doctor" went somewhere else ;)
I don't know about you, but I'd think this is the kind of twist that would rather piss off Capaldi fans if they were to say he wasn't the Doctor.
Missy being the Doctor is the stupidest theory I've ever heard.
No. That award goes to the guy with the legit theory that the waiter in Listen is actually The Sheriff of Nottingham (who is The Master in disguise) and it will all be revealed by the end.
No. That award goes to the guy with the legit theory that the waiter in Listen is actually The Sheriff of Nottingham (who is The Master in disguise) and it will all be revealed by the end.
I only kind of wanted the Sheriff to be the Master due to Ben Miller being a cracking double for Anthony Ainley.
Kevan Brighting is behind all of this, I'm telling you. [editline]24th October 2014[/editline]
about that meet up thing, as an australian visiting the uk next year that'd be seriously cool for an adjustment to the uk [editline]24th October 2014[/editline] hey freeze, remember how you pretended to be kidding when you said 'first doctor confirmed for episode four' or something and it turns out you weren't kidding? have you made any jokes like that regarding missy?
who knows?
No. That award goes to the guy with the legit theory that the waiter in Listen is actually The Sheriff of Nottingham (who is The Master in disguise) and it will all be revealed by the end.
I really hoped the waiter would be the Doctor, doing the same thing he did to Rose and Mickey-auton [editline]24th October 2014[/editline] Man, this regeneration's going to be a tough one.
who knows?
Missy confirmed for Tom Baker.
Man, this regeneration's going to be a tough one.
I'm more concerned about that battery.
Death in Heaven Synopsis:
"With Cybermen on the streets of London, old friends unite against old enemies and the Doctor takes to the air in a startling new role. Can the mighty UNIT contain Missy? As the Doctor faces his greatest challenge, sacrifices must be made before the day is won."
Didn't Capaldi say he was "pushed from a plane" :v: Provisional schedules have it down for 60 minutes.
Missy confirmed for Tom Baker.
Missy twitches to the ground. Her eyes begin to bulge from her skull. Her body mass increases. Her hair twists into white curls. Her clothing molds into a brown blazer and pink shirt. Her umbrellor becomes a walking stick. Her smug smirk becomes a full on pearly grin. "So it's you!" roars The Doctor, only slightly confused by the disturbing metamorphosis. "Or am I you?" chuckles the new Tom Baker clammering to his feet infront of the Timelord "I bet you feel good about this" "Actually my dear boy..." Tom Baker grabs a flap of skin under his face and rips it off revealing an old face. "I FEEL FANTASTIC" REINTRODUCING CHRISTOPHER ECCLESTON AS TOM BAKER AS MAYBE THE DOCTOR AS THE CURATOR AS MISSY AS WHAT? *theme tune sting, it's never mentioned again. Moffat exposed as hack* [editline]24th October 2014[/editline] Have I got it right now Freeze? Have I?! HAVE I!?
