This is pretty good
Wow, this actually feels like it could be an actual South Park Episode.

I don't think Gus is planned to reappear but due to the amount of people that think he is he probably will.
I like to imagine that Gus will be picked up again in a couple years in the Mathieson era. A bit like River popping up two years before the Moffat era

Chameleon arch? And, if you re-arrange the letters of GUS, then add the letters A, I, N and R, then take out the letters U, S and G, what do you get? RANI.
Was reading through some theories on a couple of websites and the one I reckon is honestly, truly real is that Missy is [sp]death. Like, literally, the force of death personified. Hence, "Death in Heaven" is literally talking about her, rather than a character dying. "His constant companion: Death" was referenced in Rose. There's the way that missy, y'know, nabs people when they die, and the way that her whole plan is apparently centred around the dead rising and everything. Would be a pretty 'meh' reveal, but it seems like the likeliest to me.[/sp]

The old Virgin Adventures novels had Death as a female entity showing up a few times, such as in Love and War, and Big Finish has even picked her up in the story Master, wherein it's revealed the Doctor and the Master had an incident as children involving the death of a bully that got them both targeted as "Death's Champion. Remarkable stuff, though I don't quite agree with it. Really, at this point I'm starting to think the Nethersphere deal is a new, clever take on the Cybermen.[/sp]
I like to believe this is how the Doctor really feels about Star Wars

Either that or she's just another Clara-splinter that's turned psycho for some unknown reason[/sp]
48 years ago... ( that YT reaction video channel we tracked a while back reached a certain episode of Game of Thrones yesterday - oh dear :v: )
And there will never be a regeneration as quite as that ever again.
Whoever was distracted by last week's direction will enjoy this interview with Rachel Talalay. http://www.denofgeek.com/tv/doctor-who/32726/rachel-talalay-interview-directing-doctor-who-series-8s-finale Her (and the ADR tech's) reaction to the Missy reveal :v:
Thought she did great. Some really interesting and fresh direction. Really put her own stamp on it. Don't get me wrong I love Freeze Sr, his episodes look great every time, but he is remarkably safe. There's a very strict house style for Who which no directors seems to be able to escape. Didn't somebody inside say Wheatley was frustrated by how safe the production team want to play it? It was nice seeing something completely fresh. More!

Daily reminder that Capaldi is awesome

[sp]What if we combine the Missy is Death theory and then look at all the people missy has gathered up? There has to be a reason that Missy does this. Now let's think back to the Deep Breathe episode, in this episode they somewhat outline the fact that 12 recognises his face from somewhere, but he can't remember. I think they put that in on purpose just for the whole arc of this series. ( "I never know, where these faces come from." ) I reckon that Missy is a Time Lord and she has a very specific role to go around picking up new faces/bodies of sorts for other Time Lords to regenerate into, and that 'Heaven' is where all these regenerations are stored after the 'Grim Reaper' has reaped them, which is why 12 has Lobus Caecilius's face.[/sp] Thoughts?
Thoughts?
that could be pretty cool if it was right
finale theory: [sp]judging from what freeze has said, with missy being clara not contradicting who she is, it'd be a good reveal if she was death personified. his constant companion. who else has met every incarnation of the doctor? clara. constantly there[/sp]
*Dark Water Clip Spoilers / Speculation* [sp]I'm reminded of what Wilf asked 10 in The End of Time, about whether the dead had also turned in to The Master in their graves. The prospect of Moffat expanding on that idea with the Cybermen is horribly interesting and exciting[/sp]
I am avoiding all trailers and speculation so that I can approach this week's episode with my usual levels of joy and intrigue.
Would that mean [sp]there would be loads of Masters, at the time, suffocating to death in their graves trying to escape or the idea that the corpses would change into the Master yet still be dead?[/sp] It's just really weird to think about it.
could the Masters regenerate if they were hurt in The End of Time? Anyway I think Missy is the Rani. Legit. Screencap this when she is.
The whole "master race" thing just raised a ton of questions. Like what about infants, did they suddenly turn into an adult master? Where did the extra mass come from? And did a ton of people just suddenly hulk out their clothes?
And then where do you even begin with people who were pregnant?
I liked the episode other then the whole Master clones thing.
