[sp] Maybe Missy is from the Timelord data banks too[/sp]
That Malcolm Tucker reference. Steve Jobs is a Cyberman being controlled by an iPad. I love this show.
The entire season is one big Malcolm Tucker reference. I pretty much see this series as time traveling Malcolm Tucker
[sp]They've just lost all the Superwholockians making everything so hetero. I mean, what 15 year old girl wants to see boys kissing GIRLS, ewwwww![/sp]
SO. Questions: How does the classic cyberman head fit into all of this? Why is Clara saying 'Clara Oswald has never existed' in the trailer? What were all those post-it notes Clara was looking at at the beginning? What were the bad things Clara was talking about at the beginning? How did the Master escape Gallifrey?
I assume the post-it notes were things Clara was wanting to explain to Danny. That's why she grabbed the one when she kept saying "I need to talk to you" when they were on the phone.
[sp]BBC literally have the iPlayer video thumbnail as the last shot of the Cybermen in London, so much for that plot reveal[/sp]
It was also in the poster too.
Tag that shit man for spoilers specially for some Australian watchers who don't watch the simulcasts
why would you be in a doctor who thread if you know you're behind others
i just.. holy shit i feel like they're testing the waters for a female Doctor which is cool but I don't like the whole gender changing stuff. The Master should stay male, so should the Doctor. Idk. I fucking shit myself though, so glad the Master is back, easily my favourite villain. [sp] I hope she regenerates into Charles Dance at the end of Death in Heaven [/sp]
I think making the Master female is an amazing choice - not diversity for the sake of diversity but because Michelle Gomez is shaping up to be my favourite Master of all time. If the Doctor should ever be a women (which I'd rather he wasn't but at the same time I wouldn't hate it) they should cast it like this. Not diversity for the sake of diversity but diversity because females are given the same chances to be in the role as males.
Gomez is superb. Watching her scenes with The Doctor again. She has an inner craze which is a delight :v: Especially knowing who she is, now. The kiss was seemingly an unnecessary Moffat staple, though.
the whole kissing thing and the "i hope my boyfriend wasnt too mean" isn't really what the Master is about. it's about two old friends who are polar opposites facing off against each other. They both love fighting each other. It's like Batman and the Joker. Idk. Let's see what she's like in Death in Heaven. We haven't really seen any of her yet.
I agree that the kiss was a bit.. off. That said I think the whole 'two old friends' facing off against each other thing was realized excellently with the cliff hanger. Capaldi looked like he was about to cry when she revealed herself.
Didn't Missy say that [sp]Danny (and all the cybermen)'s memories had been restructured which is why he couldn't remember anything to say to prove his connection except the last thing he heard from Clara which was I love you[/sp] I feel sure the post it notes have something to do with this
Also I loved the remix of the Master's theme at about 25:27 in the episode. EDIT: I feel like the post-it note Clara was holding said she was pregnant or something.
"I presume you have stairs.." "Well I'm not a Dalek" Outdated joke aside, brilliant :v:
The note said [sp]"JUST SAY IT" The one saying "Courtney Becomes President" caught my eye, too[/sp]
the second thing is from Kill the Hype She's probably pregnant or wanted to marry him. EDIT: oooh actually her being pregnant works out, because Orsun (Orsum?) can still be a thing even if Danny is dead and a Cyberman. Interesting!
I remember that it was mentioned and we speculated on it here, since Courtney is British not American.
The Wales war zone was well done :v: I am very curious to see how this is resolved. It would take some kind of super cop out to mess this up. [sp]Danny, for one. If he somehow ends Series 8 in his real body...............[/sp]

[sp]I'm happy the master is back but I'm going to miss him played by John Simm.[/sp]
Why didn't the doctor just get nanogenes and sprinkle some on danny's body? They've effortlessly reversed death before.
Why didn't the doctor just get nanogenes and sprinkle some on danny's body? They've effortlessly reversed death before.
Why doesn't he use the item Straxx had in Time of the Doctor to bring Jenny back to life.
[sp]Imagine if she regenerates into Derek Jacobi.[/sp]
What I personally found mental is that what their version of the afterlife before the nethersphere existed sounds pretty much exactly like my ideas about what death could be like; a big black pit with an infinite number of lost souls piled on top of one another, screaming as they burst into flames as their bodies are cremated or slowly decomposing into nothingness over the course of decades Also the reveal was amazing and I love it. Top, top episode imo
[sp]also what the fuck is wrong with clara[/sp]
[sp]also what the fuck is wrong with clara[/sp]
[sp]assumedly she had a mental breakdown from the shock[/sp]
Imagine if that had been a raw Cybermen reveal. It still was, in a way (the Dark Water stuff was very good) - but imagine!
[sp]assumedly she had a mental breakdown from the shock[/sp]
[sp]I was about to flip a tit at the supposed mutilation of character development just for the sake of a plot twist (clara/doctor intro bit). Thankfully it was explained away. Makes sense for emotions like that to go out of whack when played out in a dream.[/sp]
[sp]so how did they fix skeletor leaping laser shooting master[/sp]
[sp]so how did they fix skeletor leaping laser shooting master[/sp]
[sp]Probably pulled some shenanigans back on Gallifrey.[/sp]
Can I just highlight that [sp]not only is Peter Capaldi The Doctor, but he gets to face The Daleks, The Cybermen and The Master in his debut series. He must have surely loved it.[/sp] What a fun time for him and us :v:
