Just watched the episode.
[sp]I was talking to Damjen, fellow FPers earlier and I said that I don't believe Missy was The Master, thank god he declined the offer to wager on it. Anyway to be honest I am okay with a female playing The Master, I just don't really like the idea of the opposite gender playing the character, it is just weird. But if this is to test the waters for a female Doctor, I'll give it a chance.[/sp]

One little thing though: [sp]the Nethersphere is some sort of memory bank, right? The minds and thoughts of all the people collected by the Master to be put into cybermen. So, somewhere out there there's a cyberman using Danny's body.[/sp]

[sp]The way I understood it is that corpses don't actually feel anything, but that the "feelings" are just an invention by the Master - the doctor was even called Dr [B]Skaro[/B]sa. Just leads one to belief it's all just Doctor stuff.
Why would the Master do that? To make it so that people would eventually stop cremating the dead, so that the Master has more bodies to Upgrade.[/sp]

Bonus mention for Rachel Talalay. She can stay! Great direction, plenty of flourishes. Lots of tension. Subtle but not boring. Also to the VFX department. The Nethersphere work was stunning.
Yeah Redbeard is a pretty cool dude, seems like a genuinely nice guy and his reactions are pretty solid too.

The first part with clara by the volcano and the reveal it was a dream gave me some real Curse Of The Fatal Death vibes to the constant one-upping. Otherwise, damn fine episode. The Missy reveal was so obvious that I just discounted it.
I'm guessing [sp]Clara is pregnant, hence why she's linking all the post-it notes together. She realises that the last person she says I love you to IS Danny simply because she's seen the future in Orson. So she tries to explain to Danny by starting with how much she loves him. Starting with that and then using all the future knowledge she has (courtney being president, etc) to make reassure him it'll all be ok. Until he dies. Oops. [/sp]

I didn't mind Missy kissing the Doctor, it just seemed like he/she was trying to mess with the Doctors head. The boyfriend thing from episode 1 on the other hand is strange.
Also I know we've only had 1 ep so far but I already think I prefer her to Simm, she has an air of classiness to her which is closer to Delgado and other portrayels of the Master instead of just being lolsocrazyTHEDURMS.
