it felt like gomez was hardly even in it, her only real good scene was when she killed osgood
the one thing that really annoyed me - "DOCTOR THE PLANE'S CRASHING" uhhhh Kate.. there's a TARDIS on board The scene between the Master and Osgood was FUCKING 10/10, easily my favourite of the series
That Seb reveal was amazing. ( a lesson in not asking questions the writer isn't posing )
Wow that episode really pissed me off, mainly because it started off well, I was super hype for a while Then the guards were idiots and didn't notice that Missy had unhandcuffed herself, then Osgood died for no good reason, then dumb bullshit, then more dumb bullshit, then it totally shit the bed with uh Gallifrey not existng? Gallifrey being destroyed? Missy lying to him? What the fuck even happened there
ehhhh
so who the fuck was seb meant to be?
Moffat happened.
Nick Frost as Santa Claus confirmed for next companion.
so who the fuck was seb meant to be?
Seb. It was never a big reveal.
fuck you all, i loved every second of it
so missy pissed around for a bit in a graveyard and died then clara and the doctor both lied to eachother and left for seemingly no reason that ending, once the cyber stuff had ended(not the santa bit) just felt... empty. huge mish-mash of good bits and bad bits that just left me feeling like "what just happened?" e.g the bit with the brigadier was super good, really nice then all of a sudden "hey doctor dannys alive" "hi clara gallifreys good" "bye" just left me feeling like there needed to be a bigger conclusion and there needed to be more so it leaves a positive impression
Why didn't Missy regenerate?
Nick Frost as Santa Claus confirmed for next companion.

next companion is santa 100% confirmed.
as if I'd lie to you guys
so who the fuck was seb meant to be?
Okay! So my girlfriend figured it out. This new Missy wants the doctor to be her friend right? And the last time the Master saw the Doctor was Ten. So Seb is an AI with the personality and mannerisms of Ten.
the scene where the Doctor discovers Missy was lying to him and he smashes up the console was also fucking 10/10, Capaldi is so good
fuck you all, i loved every second of it
Yes insult them because they have a far differing opinion, that'll work.
it felt like gomez was hardly even in it, her only real good scene was when she killed osgood
This. For me there is a giant contrast between this episode and the previous one. Like they were written, directed and edited by different people. There were a ton of flaws, in my opinion. Acting of Capaldi and Gomez was great as usual, but the Brigadier part was honestly the only part of the episode I liked. At least we'll have Nick Frost for Christmas.
Thanks Moffat, you never fail to disappoint.
That was pretty bad. Missy had no plan at all, really. She was just going to give the Doctor an army and hope he decided to do something with it; obviously he didn't though and it should of been pretty obvious he wouldn't, so she clearly didn't think that through at all. She didn't even think through what would happen after the Cybermen were created, they just wandered around randomly doing nothing. The episode was a lot of build up for absolutely no reason, nothing really happened. The whole thing was solved in the last few minutes and no one had actually done anything, if Missy hadn't given the Doctor the bracelet that just HAPPENED to control every Cyberman on the planet, they would of won and no one could of stopped them. It also relied too much on Danny being there and being perfectly fine, acting the same as he was before he was a Cyberman just because of "Love Solves everything!". It was that it was another "Love solves everything!" episode and i really hate those. I find the Cybermen full body conversion thing to be completely stupid and it seems to go against what they are all about. They want to remove all the weakness of Humans and upgrade them into something they think is better, and previously that involved removing pretty much all the weak flesh parts and replacing them. Just putting the upgrades ontop of a human body doesn't really fit in with what they are trying to do. It was in a previous episode as well so it's not something that's new, but i feel it just completely ruins the Cybermen. In one episode the Cybermen decided to all kill themselves when they got their emotions back because they couldn't cope with what they had become, but no, in this episode they don't really care at all and can just act like normal. There's also the "Lets give Cybermen the ability to fly, just because!". There was no no indication at all as to why the Cybermen were working with Missy, either. Kate survived just because, can't have anything bad happen to a character that's been in several episodes! Oh, also Danny for no real reason at all deciding to send someone else back instead of himself. Well done, really shows how much he meant to Clara when he DECIDES not to go back to her when he has a chance and there's no real reason for him not to. Did they kill off Missy at the end? I wasn't sure, but it seemed like it. UNIT was pretty stupid in the episode. World under attack by Cybermen that now have the ability to fly? "Lets put everybody important on an unarmed plane, rather than the giant flying carrier ship we have!" Also giving the Doctor command of everything on the planet and then he ends up doing nothing at all and not even suggesting anything. It seems Moffat ruins everything.
Yes insult them because they have a far differing opinion, that'll work.
C'mon now, that was obviously meant to be light-hearted
Felt like a lesson in how to stretch a 45 minute episode out over an hour. Even then, not much happened. Deflating. Decent, but deflating.
there was definitely a few good scenes -missy killing osgood (called it, by the way) -the brig showing up -the doctor smashing up the tardis but apart from those it just felt a bit lackluster. the resolution was that the main villain let the doctor choose whether he wanted to win or not, I mean cmon... and the fake-leaving of clara was a bit lame, we already knew she filmed the christmas special so it wasn't a huge surprise.
you must be new here
but you're the only particularly aggressive person in this thread
what did seb even say before he got vaporised
I'm fairly certain they just watched the first 6 minutes of the dark knight rises and decided "let's do that!"
im on a mission to squeeeeee?
Also, why did the Doctor hitting the TARDIS make it spark? Didn't Ten slam a hammer into the TARDIS console and it did nothing?
Why didn't Missy regenerate?
because she got vaporized

That's all they originally did, assimilate the humans that were compatible and upgrade around the body.
