I want to moan about the titles / credits again. The inconsistent cutting has been pestering me all series. Sting, no sting, sting, no sting. Fade, cut, quick fade, cut, long fade, cut. In sync, out of sync.
I like how they acknowledged Clara was perfect.
1) explain your nick frost soul remark, young lady
2) nah shes the worst companion since rose
Another thing i didn't like was how they could just create an entire new cyberman underground out of seemingly nothing at all. All those parts for the new Cybermen must have came from somewhere but it seems they just magically appeared.
Dude who wrote Mummy on the Orient Express and Flatline needs to write more.
And by more, I mean preferably everything.

Nanomachines, at least that's what I garnered out of The Doctor talking about tiny pieces of Cybertechnology having the plans to create a Cyberman.

1) Nick Frost's appearance was one of the biggest reasons I left the episode deflated. Nothing to do with the actor, but it seems I'm destined to cringe through another Christmas. After Moffat said we would want Christmas to come very soon... I daresay I was expecting more of a hook.
2) They acknowledged that the character of Clara was "too perfect" when she was introduced. It was a point of contention for a number of people.
I've thought about it and I think I know what I would've done differently if I would've written it.
Missy's master plan was that she was going to convert the entire planet into Cybermen and load up her army of seven billion soldiers into her TARDIS to launch a counter-attack on the Dalek fleet before the Doctor got there. Getting captured by UNIT was still part of her plan - she wanted to a) get the Doctor and everyone in control at UNIT in the same place to kill them off and b) get to the Doctor's TARDIS, which she hoped to convert into another Paradox Machine to ensure that she could actually carry out her attack. I mean, she'd done it once before, no reason she couldn't have done it again
She'd have told the Doctor that she escaped Gallifrey in a way that almost drove her insane (kinda like how Dalek Caan escaped the time lock and went mad - clearly Missy would've been crazy at that point, she just didn't know it) and thought that any way of bringing Gallifrey back after the Doctor saved it would've done the same to the other Gallifreyans. So she hoped to go back and stop it from happening, and be hailed as the hero who saved Gallifrey. And then she'd take it over with her army of Cybermen anyway. Because she's cra-a-a-zy.
Or maybe there could've been a Cyber fleet in orbit just outside of Earth's scanner range which was being crewed by a skeleton staff of the remnants of the Cyber empire, and Missy wanted to replenish their ranks before heading out and destroying the Dalek fleet.
Probably would've meant two more episodes but whatever

also this is probably going a bit deep into shitty fan-fiction territory. forget I wrote anything
the cyber-danny was done incredibly well, he was disgusting

I'd have liked the story more if the Cybermen didn't just listen to The Master for seemingly no reason at all, I haven't watched all of the old who serials involving the cybermen, but I'm pretty sure they've never shown a sign of listening to anyone else but another cyberman or some other form of cyber-organism. I get it that he/she's a timelord and probably has enough knowledge to control the cybermen, but an explanation would've been nice.
what was the whole point of deleting dannys emotions when they end up not fucking deleting??? that really fucking annoyed me

Are we not going to talk about what they did with the opening titles themselves:

She's the one who was reprogramming them using the Gallifreyan Datacore, which is why they listen to her.
Thing is, since when did a cyberman's laser vaporise the target, unless the brig just amped up the power of the shot or something, and why can they now suddenly surround dead bodies underground with the shell of a cyberman with a spot of rain.
nanomachines son
also I did laugh when [sp]Clara's eyes replaced the Doctor's during the title sequence, was probably one of my favourite moments because it was so unexpected[/sp]

goddammit this thread is moving too fast I'm late about everything
what was the whole point of deleting dannys emotions when they end up not fucking deleting??? that really fucking annoyed me
Because he has so many emotions...
He's a veritable... well of emotion.
Can you imagine Danny Pink with his emotions turned off?
Can you imagine Danny Pink with his emotions turned off?
AKA Samuel Anderson's acting?

Why would they even give them a choice? It doesn't make any sense. It wasn't even needed considering the suits have a built in emotion inhibitor. It seems they didn't think if through if people could just choose not to become a Cyberman and then they wouldn't be.
After thinking about it some more, there are a few problems with the conversion method they now use. They just build around the body and then make some changes to their mind before uploading them back into the Cyberman body. How would that work for the ones that are just skeletons? It seems they don't do anything to their actual bodies other than encase them in a suit (Danny seemed fine), so where would their minds now be put? If the body isn't actually there for any reason and isn't needed (E.g. the mind can be uploaded directly into the suit rather than back into the body under it), why would they even bother with using them? It makes no sense.
SA seems like a lively, quirky guy - could have been a fun character.

yeah i know, i followed him on twitter and he's actually really cool
what a waste of potential
i hope moff leaves after s9
[sp]I found it hilarious how the Doctor forgot to save Kate. Imagine Cyber Brig flipping him off right before blasting off[/sp] :v:

Wooden Cyberman. Get it? Wooden.
I still think that my idea of Missy being a Timelord Grim Reaper that gathered 'souls' for Timelord regeneration use was better than what was actually done in these past two episodes.
Yeah, aside from the thing about the coordinates of Gallifrey, there wasn't really much reason to use The Master and have that big dramatic reveal.
Also the first episode of this story was immeasurably better than this one.
The Missy exit was lazy, nothing more. Also no Addison/Capaldi :(
Oh Missy, you're so fine. You're so fine, you blow my mind. Hey Missy! Hey Missy!
As if that's the last we'll see of Missy.
If I took over Moffat's throne, here is how the episode would've played out:
Missy explains to the Doctor how she escaped the Time War / Gallifrey
Scene of The Master (John Simm) triumphantly crying (etc.) then regenerating
Everything else that happened until the graveyard part
The Twelfth Doctor and Missy confer about Gallifrey and resurrecting the planet
Interupted by Nick Frost (as Santa) and Simon Pegg (as an Elf) crashing their sleigh into Danny Pink's tombstone
Nick Frost says "ALL ABOARD THE HYPE SLEIGH!"
To be continued next Saturday
Then this fucktarded scene appears in the credits along with music, below:

no i dont want him butchering another series (a series which could potentially be capaldis last for all we know).
i should have been done with moffat after s6 but idk why i wasn't.
I was done with Moffat as of s6
Then DotD kinda reined me back in
then TotD let me down so utterly bad that I found that I would no longer like him again
