The part where [sp]8th runs infront of Clara during the 2nd's[/sp] sequence... could this have plot revelance? Why was [sp]8th even there, with 2nd?[/sp]
And running in opposite directions, no less.
I found this on reddit, it contains spoilers about last night's episode but mainly[sp]John Hurt[/sp] http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/77670677.html
I have to say, I take a lot of issue with the fact that some [sp]Victorian London criminal knows 'bout Trenzalore and use that as a cheap plot device to start it[/sp].

The whole [sp]refusing to beleive hurt is the doctor[/sp] thing doesn't make sense since [sp]the doctor clearly knows about him already[/sp]

Which brought back a girl who had been dead for a few minutes without damage (Power of Three, anyone?). Someone get Moffat an actual doctor of medicine to explain that.
I loved the episode, but all ejaculation aside, they did a pretty piss poor job on the video side when they put Clara into the old scenes.
I thought the Hartnell stuff was AMAZING.
Everything else was to be desired.

Also my heart sank when Jenny died. I almost wanted to scream "MOFFFFFAAAAT".
At Christmas I really didn't care for these characters. I didn't really want to see them again in Crimson Horror.
But they are my favourite supporting characters since Captain Jack.
Classic Series has UNIT and Brig
RTD series has Torchwood and Jack
Moff series has Vastra, Strax, and Jenny.
I now love them to bits.

Something hilarious:
I saw a lot of people on Twitter saying "The Doctors real name is JOHN HURT?!"
One person was moaning Moffat is stupid and trying to be clever by making his surname "Hurt" as The Doctor is a wounded soul.
What.
Legitimate quote from my friend's facebook status. "The one i really enjoyed this series was the one with the singing and the leaf!"

That's funny but I really don't think it was a horrible episode.
I really liked the bit where all the past Doctors keep running around but we don't see their faces.
I liked this episode so much.

The doubles were great. Even ran like that incarnation.
The hair looked odd with the Patrick Troughton one and he ran too fast. Actually Pat and Tom had the worst CGI. But damn Hartnell looked so good.

Another well-scored sequence.
The only issue I have with John Hurt's incarnation is how much of him is in the time war - because it really wouldn't do McGann's doctor any justice if Moffat goes "Oh yeah this guy was in the time war the whole time guys".

Awesome! That's like a medley of 2-3 songs? I'm pretty sure I hear This is Gallifrey in there, with bits of the main theme as well.

This might be my favourite song/track from Doctor Who.

'... I murder a beautiful, innocent creature as painlessly as I can. And then I find a new name, because I won't be the Doctor any more.'
mixed feelings. episode had alot of potential but felt a bit wasted in all. Added a new incarnation that im suddenly expected to care about. Saw the clara being everywhere thing coming a mile off too.
Any episode i can predict is not a good one, not even sure if it was a finale because it just felt like another episode.
Back in my day finales tied everything up
They really need to bring back two parters, and Capt. Jack.
hope jack will come back now that barrowman[sp] is done with arrow[/sp]

Only one of which has also been written to lead-in to the 50th anniversary.

A) There's nothing left to tie up
B) You didn't care about a whole new incarnation? One that did something so evil and terrible the Doctors have abandoned him? You're not interested in what that is? Played by one of the most legendary British actors in history?
It doesn't make you the slightest bit excited for the 50th to find out?
What?

Spoiler tag that shizzle.
Arrow always told John he could take time off for Doctor Who.
I will agree that it wasn't really a conclusion to s7
it sorta was, but 5,6 finales never said "dohoohohooh super major cliffhanger"
It concluded S7 in that it resolved the over-arching plot of that season (the mystery of Clara) and the over-arching plot of most of Matt Smith's tenure as The Doctor (Silence Will Fall, fall of the eleventh, Trenzalore etc.). It's not unusual for a TV show to introduce the new plot element that will be the over-arching plot for the next series (or in this case, the 50th anniversary special) during the finale.
I will agree that it wasn't really a conclusion to s7
But it was =/
It just had five minutes of lead-in for the special.

Well, no, it was. If you had seen the review copies with the five minutes taken off the end, you wouldn't be saying that.
The best bit of the episode was the John Hurt reveal, yes, but that doesn't mean it was all the episode was leading up to.
Actually, I take that back
I think if they had just not had the type it would have felt better.
I don't really like cliffhangers that say "LOOK AT ME I'M A CLIFFHANGER SEE THERE'S EVEN TITLES ON THE SCREEN THAT SAY I AM"
You draw the line at "To be Continued?" :v:
