Delgado was king.
I like Gomez because it's a bit like if the Fourth Doctor was a woman and evil.
While Gomez is probably my favourite I do wonder what Dance master was like. I bet it was a Delgado/Jacobi. That said I probably would've been distracted by Tywin Lannister if Dance was in the role, Gomez I was totally unfamiliar with so she's only The Master in my eyes.
Jacobi would have been sooo good.
I didn't dislike Simm's Master, but I didn't think he was great either. He played the part well but I just wasn't a fan of how batshit crazy he was.
My problem with Danny is that his entire "the doctor is a bastard" thing comes off as him being a pissy whiner because he has no reason justifying it other than "the doctor was mean to me when we first met". And him treating him like an officer comes out of nowhere and feels extremely flimsy.
What Danny's base personality was and what they were trying to use him for didn't really match up very well.
[editline]12th November 2014[/editline]
I mostly liked him though, I thought he was fine. I think he should have had at least one adventure as a regular companion because otherwise he's judging the Doctor while barely knowing anything about him and comes off as extremely high and mighty.
Now we understand why Clara made that completely random, unfunny and insensitive joke about killing kids. Because he DID kill kids.

I wonder if he also shot his parents, since apparently he shot up his whole house. Now the kid's an orphan, and Danny Pink's a bigger idiot than he was before.
No, I'm not a fan of P.E, if I'm honest. He's just not a well-written character.
How, I think, it really would've went down is as Danny lets the kid come back. It reverts his mind to his old body and as the portal opens in Claras hallway, a dead bullet ridden kid slumps out and Danny thinks hes done good and still says "find his parents" and Clara just looks on in shock.
Neon "I think the clockwork style of s8 is shit and childish" Visual, everybody.

Is that a hoodie?
Man, Capaldi really likes going casual.
The Doctor is wearing a hoodie and talking to Santa.
I can't begin to imagine how fans would respond if you went back in time, to 2000, and showed them this picture. "Doctor Who's coming back- wait. What? No. It's all wrong".
It's amazing how it just seems run of the mill now. If anything it seems great.
Michelle probably can’t reveal whether or not she’ll be back as Missy next year, but DWM asks her anyway, apropos of nothing.
“Yes,” replies Michelle.
Now, that was surprising!
“‘Yes’ is my answer. I’ll be back. Can I say that? Am I allowed? If not… well, I guess we’ll have to see how she’s received…”
Oh Moffat also confirmed in DWM that Gallifrey is no longer time-locked.
Which is why they visited the Barn in Listen.
It's only post-timewar Gallifrey that is lost.

That also explains how Dalek Caan was able to fly into the war and retrieve Davros, the timelock wasn't there. I love little continuity fixes like this.
The Timelock was still there for Caan. It's only been cleared up since The Doctor did The Day of the Doctor.
Breaking through the Timelock is what sent Caan insane and the ability to see the future.
Also just read the wiki and it said Caan was even given the power to alter timelines, and brought Donna and The Doctor together. It's been years since I saw that story, just goes to show how memorable it was, I don't remember that.

I thought just seeing the hell that was the Time War made him insane.
I thought just seeing the hell that was the Time War made him insane.
Nah because lots of Daleks saw that. He saw that before the escaped with the rest of the cult. The timelock played a part too, it opened his mind and gave him super powers.
I dunno maybe the writer made it up as he went along but some Doctor Who circles tell me that NEVER happened and that Moffat is the only writer to make mistakes in HUMAN HISTORY.
You know how a lot of us thought that Missy was The Rani? Well, here's the current Rani:

2012. The Great Detective.
Really it was just airing the prequel in TV which I think up until that point hadn't been released.
The last specially filmed sequence was 2011, where The Doctor auctions off his clothing for the chairty. Written by Moffat. Other than that it's been trailers.
Born Again and Time Crash are the only mini-episodes filmed for Children in Need.
Does anyone know the name of this soundtrack? Apperantly it's on the series 6 soundtrack.

Is it the track from this scene?

I don't really know the soundtracks but maybe that will help find it.
The lip readers were right - a decoy scene was filmed.
The dialogue was as follows: “You know who I am. I’m Missy. Or, if you’d prefer, Random Access Neural Integrator. Rani for short.”
Did anyone else read the Capaldi chose his costume (plain dark jacket, plain white shirt etc.) so that it'd be easy for children to dress up like him? Thought that was pretty cool of him

Regarding the Doctor's claims he studied at the University of Glasgow :v:
My 3 favourite are in the lead! People have good opinions for a change!
I've never understood people's love of Jacobie as the master, he was the master really for the whole of 5 minutes if that and did nothing bar get off'ed.
I've never understood people's love of Jacobie as the master, he was the master really for the whole of 5 minutes if that and did nothing bar get off'ed.
My guess is it's a longing for what might have been. That and Jacobi probably gets a free ride because the character reveal was pulled off so well.
But his sudden change from kindly old man to fierce evil was incredible. He's the Breaking Bad Master. His "THAT IS NOT MY NAME" speech is full of such presence and invokes a monstrous fear.
In those 10 short minutes he carried more gravitas and threat than any other Master. More than Delgado who was a very one dimensional mustache twirling villain (Barry Letts was actually dissapointed with Delgado's performance in that respect). That's not to take away from any of the others, but Jacobi fully nailed it in that 10 minutes.
You could just know by watching him that he was The Master, before he said it. I know it was unlikely to be anybody else but there was something Master-y in his whole performance. You could see all the previous Master's in him somehow, which never really happened since, despite the great performances. The excitement and tension ramping up has been my highlight of Doctor Who. I was shaking with excitement the moment that FOB watch came out. I wanted it to be my favourite villain so badly and Davies teased us. He made us wait for the confirmation. Then after that whispered "I AM THE MASTER" I screamed, turned to jelly, and fell off my chair. Everybody I was watching with thought I was a loon.
Which is funny because Davies added that in the last minute. Originally there was no "I am The Master". The reveal was the "THE MASTER REBORN" line. But Davies thought it was unfair that Jacobi never got his "I am The Master" moment. Which Gomez didn't either. Unless "I'm Missy" counts. But yeah that point is Jacobi owns. If he had longer he would've been iconic.
It's quality not quantity.
