Is one of the elves Dan Starkey?
And the other is Finn from Misfits.
Indeed
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not anymore. Stop turning into me.
I liked how 12 sniffed flowers in the first and last episode when remembering things from past episodes :v: Series 8 felt very cohesive. *** Was watching The Thick of It. Might have been one of the specials or the start of S3, but when Malcolm exclaimed "this is fucking huge!" - I could only think of Flatline :v:
For the ones who hasn't seen it yet
I wonder if this is just going to be an Earth thing? I mean, clearly Santa wants to talk to the Doctor, so maybe it's just the (regular) inhabitants of Earth, but honestly I just want to know how old the Doctor was when he stopped believing.
He didn't. Eleven has a picture of him and Santa together.

Series 8 really had a cracking soundtrack. I'm even tempted to buy this one when it comes out.
Found this while going through the posts made during shooting. In retrospect, it's a bit weird knowing that they hanged on to all their old gravestone props and were able to use them. Did anyone spot them as little Easter eggs in the episodes? We're they used anywhere properly in special deleted scenes or upcoming mini-sodes? It's quite an interesting chain of thought.

I mean, it's not like they were short on graves. :v:
It would've been disrespectful to have real graves readable in shot. So they were careful not to have names in shot, unless they were fake graves. To fill out the graveyard a bit they brought along ones they already had, it saved money.
Does this mean that the Thomas Thomas grave was real :v: Because we hadn't seen it before.
No, they no doubt made a few too. Just some in jokes for the production team
Capaldi has said he doesn't want to regenerate too soon and would have his Doctor meet Martin Luther King.
Now there's an idea of a historical. One without any Sci-Fi elements too.
Capaldi also likes to "sidestep the marketing opportunities" when it comes to getting a new sonic or keeping the current one.
Capaldi for Showrunner 2015
"On the much-discussed darker elements of Doctor Who series 8, Capaldi told a packed audience: ‘I think we’d all agreed that Matt [Smith, previous Doctor Who] had been so wonderful and so delightful that the only thing you could do was to try and make a contrast with that. Because Matt was so beloved and so open, I felt I had to be a bit more closed. I think Steven and myself had a hand in how far we could go with that.’

To rapturous applause, the Scottish actor revealed that he wanted to a return to Doctor Who’s very beginning in terms of design for his time machine’s console room. Yep – roundels Referring to the circular motif so prevalent in TARDIS interior looks, he announced, ‘Roundels. I like the old Sixties roundels. That was the coolest look and I think it’s also appropriate for the way this Doctor dresses.’
Heh, heh, heh...
Heh, heh, heh...
Yay! Round things!
What are the round things?
What are the round things?
No idea.
What are the round things?
Roundels.
Roundels.
What are the Roundels? We're going live! - He won't say how long he'll stay - and might not be up to him - but he loves doing it. Wouldn't want to outstay his welcome. It's his favourite part.
Capaldi has also been quoted this week as saying he removed "weepy" scenes from scripts which would have made his Doctor more likeable. "I don't want them to like me".

God I really hate the way Moff just discarded the fact that it was already established what the Roundels were http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Roundel
God I really hate the way Moff just discarded the fact that it was already established what the Roundels were
except he didn't the tenth doctor could have said he had no idea what they were for either comedic effect or he's just forgotten
And yet I still like him.
I'm hearing conflicting reports. Some sources say he removed them. Some say he wanted them removed but didn't get his way. Basically there was a Q&A today with Capaldi, Coleman, Anderson, Gomez, Skinner and Moffat. Peter revealed he was asked to audition for The Doctor in 96 but turned it down as he knew he wouldn't get it. Frank Skinner, the big fan he is, became aware of the fan theory that this scene was showing Missy escape the Gallifrey painting (apparently the arm is too long to be Clara). Gomez told him it's not. What a mad theory. How did that start, let alone end up being asked to The Master!? [editline]17th November 2014[/editline] Apparently Peter has been telling radio that filming for Series 9 starts January. August start?
or maybe even earlier
