Shame that Craig Ferguson bowed out without a second Capaldi appearance. I'm going to start thinking that I'm the only one left.

You are.
Nah, most of us just don't like posting. Or just me, maybe.
We're all just waiting for Doctor Who da- I mean Christmas day for new stuff to discuss.

I get the feeling I'm going to leave the special thinking that one or both of them should stay with The Doctor.. and that's knowing nothing about their characters :v: It's usually the way of things.
If Natalie Gumede is in it then she can just beat the shit out of the monsters with the tube off of a hoover.
How about a puppet show to liven things up?
If Natalie Gumede is in it then she can just beat the shit out of the monsters with the tube off of a hoover.
Haa, but I do like her as an actress. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing her as a companion but it'd be weird after seeing her in Corrie.
That is all: http://3dprint.com/31400/doctor-who-peter-capaldi-bust/
One hell of a zBrush sculpt.
Haa, but I do like her as an actress. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing her as a companion but it'd be weird after seeing her in Corrie.
I kinda hope not because young women on the show are endlessly written in the same template as Rose. Feisty, young and a woman seem to be the key traits. Wilf and Donna stand out because they were SO different. Especially Wilf who was not young or female or like any previous character in the show. I want a companion who won't slot into the GENERIC FEMALE RECURRING CHARACTER box. Or the GENERIC BOYFRIEND RECURRING CHARACTER. If we are doomed to endless young women in the TARDIS then at least give them more of a personal life beyond their boyfriend/romantic desires. I know it's terribly modern of me to suggest a female character can have drama beyond romance. A middle aged man- something the new series has yet to do. Write a character that you would never expect to find in the show so it's fresh. Don't for one minute give me "but the female viewers need a female character to relate to the show". I imagine the ladies are watching because they like the show, or are we to assume that they're only watching right now because Clara, who spent a good year as a blank canvas, really speaks to every single one of them? I do love the show but fuck me it's been playing it safe for years now, Doctor casting aside. [editline]24th December 2014[/editline] Also- I don't think I'll be on tomorrow because it's Christmas and there's an Xbox-One shaped box under the tree. So while I dip into Orlais and Los Santos (again) I won't find any time to come wish you a good day. So Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you have a smashing time and a happy New Year. Wonderful chaps/chapettes. All of you.
Does anyone know when the christmas special is airing ?
I'd really like the Doctor to have a slightly older companion, honestly. At the end of the day, he's going to be at least 1900 years older than them no matter what, so it's not like he's going to be outsmarted by their wisdom :v: [editline]24th December 2014[/editline] That said, a non-human companion would be good, too. It would be nice to have K9 back, at least for one episode.
still hoping Joe Gilgan gets cast as a companion one day, would be jokes Merry Xmas from Montreal/Michigan folks
Does anyone know when the christmas special is airing ?
It is on at a quarter past six/18:15 in the UK. Also, Humble Bundle are doing a bundle on Doctor Who audiobooks, if anyone is interested. Has some Colin Baker books when you spend more than $15, with more to come supposedly.
I'll be too drunk to see tomorrow probably, so Merry Christmas everyone! Enjoy it!
Watch as the people saying they won't be here tomorrow turn up. Or maybe they won't now that I've said this. I guess we'll never know. :v:
I really hope tomorrow's episode is one that my whole family can enjoy. They all hated last year's.
I would love to see someone like Ed Byrne as companion, a fun lively comedy person.
I would love to see someone like Ed Byrne as companion, a fun lively comedy person.
I feel like that would be awkward for me though because everyone says I look like Ed Byrne. People would just start congratulating me for being in Doctor Who.
so this dressing gown is supposed to look like 11's Tweed... [t]http://i.imgur.com/blyWxNf.jpg[/t] can anyone else not see it?
We have the same Next Marvel T-Shirt
We have the same Next Marvel T-Shirt
gg we're both massive nerds
Hell yeah. For Christmas I got Series 8 Blu Ray and a 2015 Doctor Who Official 'Special Collectors Edition' Calendar. Which has no Capaldi in it but there's some sweet Baker art involved.
I got a book full of Doctor quotes, an encyclopedia of all monsters/aliens in Doctor Who, a "Where's the Doctor?" thing , 2015 annual and this book called 'Who-ology'. My girlfriend got me the 2015 calendar which is full of Capaldi (but sadly has Danny 'Wells' Splink on one month and no Missy), EDIT: Anyway, these 24 Kronenbourgs aren't going to drink themselves. Laters peeps.
Watch as the people saying they won't be here tomorrow turn up.
Done & Done :v: Merry Christmas, all!
