I think it is fair to say that Moffat just tends to not to plan these things out, least we forget this is a guy who put a T-Rex in the thames because it looked awesome even if it added nothing to the story and made no sense.
I've come to the point that Moffat throws out random and ridiculous ideas like a jigsaw and we're expected to complete it

I'm assuming I'm not the only one who thinks The Master regenerating off screen was bad and that we didn't get to see John Simm once more??
Also as much as I like the new actor who plays the master, I really wish they'd kept The Master male

My gripe is that it is never explained how The Master regenerated or how they escaped that Gallifrey with Rassilon and co.
I'm sure it will be explained eventually
I'm sure it will be explained eventually
i really really doubt it

Arise Sir John Hurt!
i want a fight between john hurt doctor and john simm master
I landed myself in the middle of a mini-comment war on a Last Christmas YT review that was arguing over the ending be a tacked-on thing meant to cover up Jenna's early attempts to leave the show. The reviewer was stating it as fact and felt a little rude in my eyes as to how he was shocked to hear people thought otherwise.
The debate on that issue's truth aside, the guy does strike me as a bit stubborn sometimes. He does rants on the quality of the collectible merch (toy sonics, action figures) that sometimes start to sound whiny at times.

They explained the Woman in the shop who gave Clara the Doctor's number, why not explain the master regenerating?

let me guess, votesaxon07?
i've been out of the loop on DW drama for a while, but has neonvisual said anything stupid recently?

Yep. Is he notorious with some of the Who fan circles for these reasons? Or just you as well as me?

Nope, and I'm sad to see no comment on his Missy theory being shot dead in the water.
Does seem he liked Last Christmas, though. He even felt Clara's elderly stage would've been a cruddy excuse for departing and was glad to see her stay. Can't really say I blame him, I could easily see Clara still traveling young with the Doctor, either with the old version lying and they will meet again in proper timelines or she would say something like "I never said we didn't meet again... run you clever boy, I'm waiting."

I'm a subscriber to him and he does make valid points in his criticism of the Doctor Who figures. Doctor who does deserve better than shitty under detailed 3.75 inch figures, they deserve the 5 inch line and the fact about the screwdrivers is true, there are so many fucking rereleases of the 10th doctor's sonic that it's not even funny and not even one of the rereleases is an improvement over the last. I disagree with him on a lot of his criticism on the doctor who episodes especially his Last Christmas review. To be fair every whovian is going to have a differing opinion on the episodes and not everyone of them is going to be the same.
They explained the Woman in the shop who gave Clara the Doctor's number
...to be fair, that was another "Time of The Doctor" style wrap-up. I wouldn't believe for a second that "the woman in the shop" was a female incarnation of The Master when it was written in 2012. Come on, like Missy needed Clara to get The Doctor to London. He's there all the time :v:
Hopefully less of this "dangling threads to be picked up when I have a good idea for it" nonsense now. Series 8 was very good in that regard.
Not so bad with The Master, either - she can turn up whenever or wherever she likes without any explanation and we're sure to go with it. Though I wouldn't say no to The Night of The Master with John Simm & Timothy Dalton.
I'm willing to bet they don't do anything special for the 10th anniversary of the shows revival next year on the scale of the 50th anniversary. I think the best we will get is the show revisiting the estate where Rose and her mother lived and that'll be it.

Too bad they practically did that in Time of the Doctor then.
Enjoying the London fireworks when suddenly... the Doctor Who theme :v: About time!
Happy New Year, all.

Guess it was a little nod to ten years of the revival - back where it all started with the Nestene Consciousness, no less ; )
