So cute
The cult or the aliens? The aliens (called The Silents) were part of this cult (The Silence) which believed when The Doctor answers "The Question" the "silence will fall". So they were trying to stop him ever getting to that point in his life by killing him. They even conditioned River Song from an earlier age to do it. The first tried in Series 5 when they managed to somehow blow up The Doctors TARDIS. But it seems they were just like any other cult. Bonkers. The Doctor never even answered "The Question" so no silence fell. Unless Moffat is implying when the stars started going out, that was silence falling. It was a well built story arc that didn't really go very far. "The Doctor must die" stories usually are. Because you know even if The Doctor fails to save the day, he won't die. I wish Moffat would find a way to convey threat without killing The Doctor or ending the universe. Or both. "EVERYBODY LIVES" is a clear motif for Moffat Who. It's why I was so shocked when Jenny was killed last week, though she came back pretty quickly, denouncing the Whispermen of any threat. That said though, I really liked The Whispermen Does this mean no more stories with GI?
So... all ended up as nothing.
Caught a glimpse of Bernard Cribbins & Billie Piper before Jacqueline King brushed past me with a massive smile on her face - and an awesome jacket. :v: Not long before a chant of the Dallas theme tune. Such a silly place.
Has anyone heard any rumours about what the title of the anniversary special might be?
Has anyone heard any rumours about what the title of the anniversary special might be?
The Two Doctors and The One Who Shall Not be Named.
The Two Doctors and The One Who Shall Not be Named.
Two and a Half Doctors?
Two and a Half Doctors?
Which consists of David Tennant drinking tiger's blood and "winning". Yeah I remember that whole thing with Charlie Sheen from way back when.
And John Barrowman as "Of Course!". (Raul Julia as unavailable on account of being dead)
Woo, back home and reunited with my kickass scarf. Also forbidden planet are doing fourth doctor sonic for a tenner
And John Barrowman as "Of Course!". (Raul Julia as unavailable on account of being dead)
And John Simm as "Thank You"
Not to mention Alex Kingston as "No Problem". God this could continue for quite a while, and all because of a fortunately-timed plea; it's almost as great as when Colin Mochrie referenced a badly-timed bald joke, only to be right on the money.
Has anyone heard any rumours about what the title of the anniversary special might be?
In order of likelihood: -The 50th Anniversary -Generations -Regenerations -Impossible Expectations -The Two and a Half Doctors -Fanwank: The movie -Into Darkness -Love and Monsters 2 -The Doctor Licks A Toad -David Tennant -Colectormania 19 -Steven Moffat I think that's all the rumours
Degenerations. Because it'll end with Matt Smith degenerating back to David Tennant who at first will be ecstatic, until he remembers that this somehow raped his timeline and by extension probably blows the universe up again for no damn reason because viewership!

In before they call it "Doctor Who????????????"
I still tear up a little every time the Doctor calls Clara his impossible girl at the end of the last episode in a happy way
if leaving the [sp]timestreamy causes clara to suddenly remember all the different marks of clara[/sp] i'll be really happy for the doctor because he'll have someone to talk about gallifrey with who isn't a banished time lord
So if Clara remembers [sp]Journey to the Centre of the Tardis, does that mean that she remembers the doctor's name then? Or did they explain that and I wasn't paying attention?[/sp]
So if Clara remembers [sp]Journey to the Centre of the Tardis, does that mean that she remembers the doctor's name then? Or did they explain that and I wasn't paying attention?[/sp]
memory wipe at the end of journey [sp]that was real clara who was there, not timestreamy clara[/sp]
memory wipe at the end of journey [sp]that was real clara who was there, not timestreamy clara[/sp]
Yeah but in The Name of the Doctor, [sp]she re-remembers what happened in Journey, or at least part of it. My question is, does she remember all of it?[/sp]
memory wipe at the end of journey [sp]that was real clara who was there, not timestreamy clara[/sp]
Yeah, but she started to remember what happened in Journey. They never touched on it further than that though, so for now it's unclear if she remembers his name or not.
She could be similar to the Doctor-Donna, just without the personality change.
And possible exploding brain.
She remembered some elements of Journey. I doubt it was all. But after she split across The Doctors timeline she retained the memories of all her alt-selves. So she certainly knows his name by now. Probably a great deal about his future.
just occurred to me that we have an explanation for literally every future plothole in the show and I'm worried moffat will mercilessly take advantage of this dont know how anything happened or the logic behind anything?? Clara Why is the sonic screwdriver so powerful? Clara goes to wherever its pointing and manually does what he's asking
Who gave Clara that phone number? Old Clara.
moffat in drag
Who gave Clara that phone number? Old Clara.
oh man that actually makes sense though
Everything's better than Rose
Were humans ever on gallifrey? If not, would that mean the Clara on gallifrey was born a time lord?
