I just wish Moffat had actually drawn out some plans for future episodes since River Song's introduction. Like, an entire room in his house dedicated to timelines like in conspiracy stories, with strings and pictures and notes and stuff. Could've made things way smoother. I'm absolutely sure he kept the majority of it in his head without typing it out at all, which made it way messier than it should've been.
I enjoyed River in her first story, The Angels story, The Pandorica story, and The Name of the Doctor.
I enjoyed River in her first story, The Angels story, The Pandorica story, and The Name of the Doctor.
So it's only the Series 6 jumble of threads that we have problems.
Yeah, because in Series 6 and another episode or two its just "I couldn't think of anything, here's River lulz"
It was never that bad. I can only actually think of one occasion I haven't enjoyed an episode of Doctor Who and walked away disappointed. Everything else I've either enjoyed, really enjoyed, or REALLY REALLY ENJOYED! Even if I'm moaning on here about something, it doesn't mean I disliked the episode. It's like when you hang out with a friend and it wasn't that fun but you still enjoyed yourself. Just not as much as you hoped. But you're still friends and will have something to take away from that shitty day. God damn I enjoyed the Library.
It's wonderful how foreboding it is of the Moffat era. - Focus on fear of the mundane - A major theme is death, whereas RTD used the threat of terrorism - River Song - A new screwdriver (wish they kept that prop purely for consistency :P) - Clicking the fingers to open the TARDIS - A speech about the Doctor and his ability to turn around an army - Direct mentions of future stories - Children are a primary focus - Everybody lives
Apparently there's a couple of minisodes floating around about [sp]the departure of River called First Night, Last Night and Good Night[/sp]. Just to let people know. I'd find and post them but I'm at work on my iPad.

But thanks for the heads up! :v:

Y'know I still haven't watched all those yet.. [editline]31st May 2013[/editline] Trackboy confirms the leak email is true. His contacts received it too and told him 8 hours before it became public. I wonder why 12 episodes? Is the special taking away some of our Who? [editline]31st May 2013[/editline] In the 90's a bunch of classic episodes were in Sierra Leone. But during the civil war the archives were raided and the episodes destroyed. What sort of soulless monster destroys missing Doctor Who?
really bothers me, i need to knoooowww
Yeah, I hate it when they are about to explain something and they get interrupted by something and then don't bother, such as in the end of the Doctor's wife. Yeah.. great writing skills there.

Speaking of the Library, saw this on facebook
- [sp]He says to take this one with a pinch of salt but apparently the original big bad was 9. He was an angry and broken Doctor fuelled by rage during the Time War. The Doctors had to stop him doing something terrible. At the end he redeems himself and goes on to meet Rose. Omega was present in the Time War in a minor role. When Chris dropped out 2 weeks before filming everything changed. Moffat (who hadn't finished the script) reworked it to make Omega the main bad and Hurt as a forgotten Doctor. Hurt gladly accepted the role of The Doctor as it was a one off[/sp]
Well, at least [sp]John Hurt isn't there just to replace Christopher Eccleston's role as the Ninth Doctor[/sp]. I would've been extremely pissed off if that were the case. [editline]1st June 2013[/editline] [sp]I'm also going to be pissed if we don't see HurtDoctor regenerate into Eccleston's Doctor.[/sp]

Saw the Doctor Who thing at vivid Sydney tonight.
@DrWhoOnline "Its the end... But the moment has been prepared for" Keep you eyes and ears peeled in the next few hours folks!
Twitter is once again ablaze with press rumours of Smith's departure announcement incoming..
What was the reason they didn't bring Paul McGann back for the 50th? He doesn't look that old.

I just want to see him in more solid, well written material, damn it
Fans have been getting calls from Sunday papers asking to choose a new Doctor. "It's the end but the moment has been prepared for" - Tweet from Doctor Who online The news will hit in less than 2 hours. At least that's when the embargo ends. At the time Doctor Who usually airs.
What was the reason they didn't bring Paul McGann back for the 50th? He doesn't look that old.
I have no clue. Maybe they really wanted Paul to wear a wig again and he was adament about not doing it. Maybe Moffat felt his story only worked well with the 9-11 Doctors/10 & 11 Doctors plus John Hurt. Or maybe they just didn't want to alienate new fans for some stupid reason. I'm still a little flustered about it too. At least just give us a webisode or something, please? Also, part of me really doesn't want it to be true that Matt's leaving, but given the average for Doctors, I suppose it is about time for him if he doesn't want to handle the stress of being the next Tom Baker.

Though it's a shame. As for the episode. Just wait.
I'd like to see a mini-series with McGann if it were possible. He deserves it, considering how much he's done for the show after just doing one episode.
