Man, this feels weird.
This is my first time watching a regeneration story when it comes out. I got into Who in 2011, and by that point Matt had been in the role for a year or so. It feels weird to know that I'm actually going to watch a regeneration story when it comes out, and that I'm going to be in the middle of what people call "a big event".
Actually, after watching a bit more Dirk Gently:

I really, REALLY wish Mangan gets it. It just seems so right.
Dirk Gently was fantastic. It's basically Sherlock but written by Douglas Adams (of H2G2 fame).
Every time I read that title I read it as 'Dick Gently'
Also about the age thing, even though I wasn't even alive when it finished on TV, and 3 when the movie came out, my dad was a huge fan, so I was always watching it when I was growing up, I even when to the Blackpool Doctor Who museum when I was about 7 years old.
17. Started when I was 16. :v:
considering I'm from the southern United States, finding someone who likes Doctor Who usually tells a lot about the person. fun fact: ive yet to meet someone who likes doctor who that i don't like
I'm from the Southern US as well. Louisiana REPRESENT SON.

Except I hate Louisiana.

Same here, though I only saw it that way because it's nearly 3am over here, and I don't know why I'm up so late.

Oh man, can you find a 1920 x 1080 version? And maybe another one so I can have one for my other monitor.
Side tracking from the sad news of Matt leaving,
This old, but I don't think it was ever posted, but the TARDIS made a Cameo on 'Iron Sky', that finnish Moon Nazi film, look below the front of the pointy ship. I only noticed it today after my second viewing.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/T0xqJ.jpg[/t]
Well spotted.
I started watching who in the 80's when I was about five
Was it all a bad dream?
Nope. I'll pick up where I left orf. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......
Just woke up feeling sad.
I'm reminded of when Tennant fangirls were breaking down and most of us turned up our nose and told them to "get over it".
It's really not that easy, is it?

I wanted to change my display picture for the first time in 3 years but now I can't bring myself to do it :(
this strategy is kinda bad, people are crying over it now, will get over it, then cry over it again when the new doctor comes
I don't remember the first time I actually started watching Doctor Who. My Dad is a huge fan of it and had a huge amount of them recorded on tape. My Dad, me and my brothers used to sit and watch them with him all through my childhood.
It's great on Christmas, as we all meet up at our parents house and watch the special. Feels just like old times
I'm just glad we have Clara. If both of them went together, I may have slipped in to a coma.
I'd rather Eleven than Clara tbh. And I really REALLY wanted to see Eleven and Rose or maybe Eleven and any pre-Eleven companion... :/
I started watching Doctor Who when I was about eight? So it's been eleven years. It started with Peter Davison, running about with his celery. I stumbled upon it because, living in Australia, I was always watching ABC because it had great kid's shows in the afternoon. Then I let the TV stay on one day, and saw the mad blonde man fighting giant blue shrimp. I didn't take any notice of it. A few weeks went past, and I started watching it again; some kid called Adric died fighting robots. The silent credits got to me and I remember thinking as an eight year old how sad that was. I decided to watch more, and then it went off the air about three years later. The year after that, Christopher Eccleston burst onto my screen; turns out I just stumbled upon the brand Nu-Who season opening. It was fantastic. My sister hated it, but now she absolutely loves it and we talk about Doctor Who every new episode. It's a pretty big part of my life; it's helped me make friends I never would have had before by leading me into the nerdier side of life. I live with one now. I became closer to my girlfriend's family by watching it with them. It all started with Who.
I personally want Ben Daniels; that poster looks great, and I want those damn tumblr "omg matt is so hottt~" girls to piss off. I want to appreciate the show, not the bloke's chin. With that said, I will miss Matt's brilliant acting in Who and will look for him in other show's.
Geronimo.
The first episode I ever saw was Blink, on Estonian TV.
It seemed that the Doctor was a mystical character that you don't see that often in the show, but it was exactly the opposite and it was awesome. I was young, but I understood everything after the first season. A bit of ' where the fuck is the pretty one ' though, since I didn't expect Eccelstone :v:

Pretty sure you'd slip into a coma if it was just Clara.
I dont like what theyve done with clara
Shes a good actor, has good chemistry with matt but she has no character depth
Matt leaving wasnt a drunken fantasy by me when I stumbled in last night?
shit, this is sad news.
