I don't really see any reason to change the format at the moment. The show is still a huge success, even with the slight ratings dip for the last series. I would however like to go back to regular Spring 13-episode series, I'm starting to get sick of all these split series - it always feels like the series ends just when it gets properly going.
According to leaks, the next series is exactly this :D There's been no ratings dip either. It's gone up and remained consistent. Anybody who tells you it's dropped: A) Hasn't looked at all the figures B) Is reading them wrong. [editline]4th June 2013[/editline]
I'd love doctor who to be more adult, but it would ruin the magic for all the younger fans out there. Just give me back UK Torchwood with some better writing like Children of Earth.
I would rather something Gallifrey based. Maybe Timewar. A past Doctor Mcgann/Hurt could feature somewhat but wouldn't be leading cast. If not the Time War, the lead up. Shady goings on in the high council, Gallifrey in turmoil, the verge of war. A tense drama set in the heart of an ancient civilisation splitting at the seams. An excellent chance to really expand the mythology to the show and add depth to a race previously criticised as being boring. For some reason I think of thematic comparisons to the fall of Rome. Visually I see Gallifrey as great anchient temples and buildings mixed with advanced technology. The Lord-President as a sort of Ceaser type role. [editline]4th June 2013[/editline] Matt Smiths mum and Sister tweet whenever they speak to Matt on Skype. Every time Matt sends his love to the fans. [editline]5th June 2013[/editline] Rick Gervais denied on Twitter he is the 12th Doctor Then posted this I post too much
but ricky gervais tho:( HOLY SHIT KARL PILKINGTON FOR DOCTOR
No but Susan never went to the Time Lord academy, hence the non Time Lord name. We can assume because of this she can't regenerate either.
Not sure how you feel about the prose, but according to Frayed, Susan is a name she chose. She chose it on the same day the Doctor chose his. However this occurs after he steals the Tardis. Which does conflict with with tv canon in a way seeing as Clara called out to the first before he first set out by saying "Doctor" and he responded.

Follows Leela and Lord President Romana (don't ask me how she left E-Space, Doctor Who expanded universe lore just decided one day that she did) through various dramatic events going on with the Time Lords. Supposedly it'll end next October with a final box set season.
I'd love doctor who to be more adult, but it would ruin the magic for all the younger fans out there. Unlike it was when Matt Smith was The Doctor.
it was a lot scarier when matt smith was doctor than when david tennant was doctor
thats kinda the thing i noticed about doctor who, it shys away from... "typical" adult situations, like, it's real easy on blood and only hints at sex blatantly occasionally and most other times, subtly.
i just got series 7 part 1 and 2 on amazon instead of waiting a year for netflix so now it's time for a watching marathon so i can catch up with the current latest episodes currently just finished the cold war episode, it was cool (then again im new to doctor who so everyone probably has a different opinion.) i really loved the gunslinger episode, even though i usually hate western stuff.
so you're saying susan is a cow
No, she's a horse.
oh god, I completely forgot that episode even existed until now most of series 7 part 1 is a blur to me
HOLY SHIT KARL PILKINGTON FOR DOCTOR
"What're all these Daleks for? We don't need em. Get rid of em. Ya knob'ead."
oh god, I completely forgot that episode even existed until now most of series 7 part 1 is a blur to me
I decided to blur out every season from 2010-2012. Then I decided to keep S7 P2 in my memory. [editline]5th June 2013[/editline]
"What're all these Daleks for? We don't need em. Get rid of em. Did anyone notice that the Paul McGann Dr.Who movie was similar to the movie the Time Machine? Speaking of Paul McGann, would the fans go for a pre time war series starring Paul ?
The main thing I'm hoping for at the moment is that the Regeneration box set comes with a free slot to put the DVD of Matt's last episode when it comes out Also I was looking at some Doctor Who action figures and I came across this: do you see that do you fucking see that thing in the top left
is that rick moranis?
SEVENTEEN missed calls from Steven Moffat? Weird.
This guy, likes to mess with people. https://twitter.com/StephenMangan/status/342309192335507457
I am confused about the ability of Time Lords to reproduce, was Susan really the Doctor's granddaughter? I've heard about the creation of Time Lords on looms but believe this has never been alluded to in the show itself and we were shown the Doctor's cradle so he was presumably a baby once
Maybe some Time Lords were born naturally, whilst others were "woven" from the looms? Kinda like how some people are conceived naturally whilst others were created in test tubes and petri dishes through IVF. My guess is the Doctor was a natural-born, if he had a cradle.
I found the mix of David Tennant and Matt Smith you guys
I've seen him about the net a while now. Incredible Matt cosplayer.
Did you see him at CM? I spotted him at Jenna's bay. Also this.

God. Imagine that, the Doctor in Westeros.
Did you see him at CM? I spotted him at Jenna's bay. Also this.
He was at CM?! That picture is incredible. He looks identical.
Alex Kingston was just on The One Show and they played this clip of her in Grange Hill when she was 17 :v: (1:39)
Pleased to see she hasn't cut her hair since she was 17. Just realised her goodbye in TNOTD wasn't a goodbye to the character of River like we had all assumed. It's now obvious it was written as the finale goodbye between River and 11.

From the official BBC Twitter. I- uh. Gosh it looks like it was made on paint. [editline]6th June 2013[/editline] Interesting survey conducted by YouGov on Doctor Who Some results: - Seems David Tennant is the runaway favourite Doctor with every gender, age group, location, and political allegiance - Tom Baker and Matt Smith clock in at 2nd and 3rd. - Matt Smith is most popular with younger fans aged 18-24 - 2/3rds of those surveyed are not interested in Doctor Who - Doctor Who is most popular with Lib Dems, least popular with Ukip - Steven Moffat isn't the only one who forgot poor Paul McGann - Majority of those surveyed think The Doctor actor should be British and Male - An actor over 40 would not be popular with women - Most people hated Sylvester McCoy. Way more than Colin. - Chris is the least liked Doctor for the 18-24 bracket Goes to show the majority is really easy to predict isn't it? Wasn't expecting nearly 70% of people to not be interested though :tinfoil: It's also worth noting people filling out the survey would've just chose their favourite Doctor. If they had to number their first, second, and third I think the top order would be David, Matt, Tom. A lot of people that watch the show haven't much knowledge of the classic show and Matt would be the natural second choice. Hell what do I know? Maybe Eccleston would've moved up.
what the hell, how is CHRISTOPHER the least favourite?
