Anyone you know who has died is now at rest. Whatever happens to them, be happy they are not here to deal with all the bad and stupid in this world anymore. There's no reason to be sad they're gone; but to be happy that they were alive.

Oh hell no, I like my life as it is and enjoy all my friends company and I am still afraid to die. therefore you cannot think, experience, or feel anything. it's beyond human comprehension to imagine time without reaction to it. there won't be "just black" or anything because you will have no consciousness to render it.
