Why are the crystals not glowing anymore?
You decide to piss on the crystal to see if it does anything.

you decide that your head is no place for your pants and you proceed to put them back where they belong. you then examine the unspecifidium, strangely you no longer feel that it is watching you but you take a few just in case.

you head outside the cargo hold, intent on finding any communications to check on your 'alternate' self, however you are stopped in the hallway by 'That Prick' who seems to have somehow made a miraculous recovery from a case of 'Door to the face' and who is is looking very spry for someone who should be going through the early stages of rigor mortis. He seems to be shouting questions as to how you got out of your cell.

Quick, fire several shots of your blaster into the door to flood this fucker away from you.
you suddenly have the brilliant idea to fire several shots into the door, so the flooding waters will send 'That Prick' spinning down the hall

water begins to spray from the door with great force, and you hear a loud groaning noise, followed quickly by a bang as the door is blown from the wall

as the door shoots forward your last thought is that this is going to hurt a lot, then you feel a sudden pain in your face as you are crushed against the wall behind you, limbs twitching feebly as the remains of your brain and vital organs begin to drip down the wall.

again you see the universe, however this time reality refuses to obey you. instead you are swept along helplessly, watching your own demise again in reverse. until once again you are able to control your actions, 'That Prick' is again standing in front of you shouting, and water is still spurting from the door

This time, step to the side, THEN shoot the door.
realizing you have time powers, you decide to use them and become king of the ship, you gather the energy of the universe around you and bend it to your will.... nothing happens and 'That Prick' is looking at you like you're some kind of loon

as the time plan didn't work out, this time you step to the side and shoot the door.

everything plays out just like the last time with the exception of mind shattering pain and death, at least for you that is. 'That Prick' wasn't so lucky. you notice yourself, dead, laying face up in the doorway. it seems that that version of you didn't use the bench/bed thingy as a raft and drowned.

you take care not to make eye contact, because tearing more holes in the universe could go badly for you. as it's far to good an opportunity to pass up you take your dead alternate self's pistol and dual wield, because two is almost always better than one

go through the door at the end of the hall. look for some other people to shoot with your vanity powered guns. Then you will become more vain as your ego inflates at the sight of the people you have shot.
I'm serious about that Magrathea bit.
Crash into a planet.
you arrive upon magrathea, intent upon trading your cargo hold of unspecifidium for a planet of your strange design, however upon arriving, you find the planet to be uninhabited, covered in dust and with nobody to build you a planet in sight. in the distance you can see what appear to be the bones of a whale and some sort of strange ship.

Examine/investigate the ship.
you examine the ship, it seems like it's been here for many, many years. there is at least a foot of dust covering the entire ship, and it seems to have protected the ship from too much damage. after a few minutes investigating you think you may have found a way in.

Investigate.
Decompress self.
you enter the ship to investigate, the door slowly opens on its own, you may have been hearing things but it almost sounded like the door bid you a nice day.
you soon find yourself in the control room, at least you assume it's the control room as there is a lot of panels and buttons located in close proximity to each other.
in the corner sits a skeleton, clothed in a decayed bath robe and clutching an ancient teacup in it's hand

you decide to have a chat with the ships computer, it seems to be unusually happy and cheerful, to the extent that it begins to annoy you. it insists on calling you 'Guy' and prattling on about a bunch of useless garbage.
