I had to retake English for uni because I got a D the first time around.

I did foundation exam and my teacher couldn't figure out why. "YOU CAN GET AN A!!" I didn't want an A, I wanted an easy exam I could polish off in 5 minutes and spend the hour asleep on the desk.

Why is it so weird to not care about high grades (I got a C, obviously)

The U has a long explaination which I'm not going through as its confusing.
The D was the lesson I sacrificed time in to do better in the other subjects which clearly didn't work.

If I recall correctly it was 45+ for A*, 40+ for A, 35+ for B roughly. So Bs.

i did that last year im gettin ready for A levels now. i wouldnt worry too much gcses are miles easier the second time around.

I did the unit 1s of the science gcses early and A*s in bio and chem and an A in physics. It's annoying cos my school says we have to get 100 ums points if we take it early and I got 100 100 and 85, so that's one more thing to worry about next year.
