My girlfriends house will be empty, so we were planning on inviting another couple we're friendly with over and my friend and I would cook something up for them. Probably a nice fillet, maybe some home made ice cream, some candles, music, a film perhaps. Mine as well do it right.

Me and my girlfriend agree that Valentines day is a pretentious dickhead of an excuse to be nice to girlfriends and wives. Also it's so blatantly an unnecessary money grabbing venture that to take part in it I wouldn't feel romantic or loved, or loving even, I'd just feel soiled. Also guys, be nice to your girlfriends on more than one day a year. Really. Do something special every now and then, not just for valentines day.
