I watched this movie Friday, it was fucking disturbing. Here's a more in-depth explanation if you want to be spoiled: [sp] They create these two creatures from DNA of other animals, one male and one female, but for some fucking reason the female one turns into a male and they fight till the fucking death (this part is disturbing). Then they do the same thing except they use human DNA also. So they have this weird little girl creature thing, named Dren. Then, the male main character for whatever reason decides he should fuck Dren. Later, Dren turns into a male like the first creatures, and goes on a rampage and then decides to fuck the female main character, which is both bestiality, incest, and rape at the same time. Then everyone dies and the female character gets pregnant. [/sp]

His brother even complains about it. The husband sees his wife in Dren, he mentions the DNA. He also mentions how he hasn't been getting laid much since his wife has this...pet. He previously danced with Dren, dancing being a mating ritual in the animal world. He also previously had sex with his wife while he watched Dren watching them have sex. This all adds up to one thing- This guy was really horny, already saw Dren as an alternate version of his wife, and Dren was in heat. What guy could resist? I wanted to high five him when he somehow spun it around so that it was his wife's fault that he was banging the science experiment.[/sp]

This movie was pure gold. Blew me away when I saw it. Fucking Oscar nomination man.

Some of you guys seriously have missed the whole premise of this movie. When you look deeper into it what you will find is pure genius. The emotions portrayed throughout the entirety of this movie are immense. It won't be a movie for everyone, but it is in no way a bad movie. It will be awkward to watch and disturbing, but that is what gives a uniqueness to this movie. It is an emotional roller coaster. Go see it.

Sounds like two scientists breed a rapist out of all the stupidest fucking animals they could have used. If I was going to try and create a super-being, I'd use a fucking rhino, a spider, a gorilla, a scorpion, and a human. That would be something to be proud of.

It's a thin line between breeding and rape. In the animal world issues like consent don't exist. So, if you create life out of existing creatures, you will create something that'll try to reproduce. That's because all existing life has a built-in drive to procreate. So then the trick is to create a lifeform that can't overpower you. It sounds like a no-brainer except for one thing- people are stupid. I just yesterday read about a guy in Nebraska killed by his pet snake, a boa constrictor I think it was. How stupid do you have to be to A) have a pet that can kill you and B) let that pet actually kill you? These scientists were stuck in a bind, they needed to create something fast and they had to use the 'parts' they had, they didn't really get to be picky and choose the best parts.

The monster was Dren's last stage of development, in which it stopped producing estrogen and turned into a male, and became aggressive.

Yeah, sadly when it turned male that happened to be when there were three other males around the one female- instant competition. At that point it's like "every guy with wings and a spiked tail please step forward to claim your prize, all you other guys...you're dead".

The only thing I didn't like about this movie was that it was short and a lot of the plot seemed rushed in order to fit within the allotted time. Other than that it was really good.
