Those shows are great. I dare you to go back and watch the 'classic' shows. Most of them are just as stupid as Flapjack or Chowder. The teen shows however are on a whole different level of 'that's just plain dumb'.

It's sort of weird, because I happened to watch old episodes of Scooby Doo and Flintstones, Jetsons and stuff, and I noticed that the cartoons in that case actually happened to have actual plots and stuff. The more time goes on, I'm starting to notice that cartoons that even I used to enjoy and watch when I was a kid, going back and watching them seem far less... entertaining... then I remember them to be. It's obvious why, but I can't help but watch Courage the Cowardly Dog and feel like I'm watching just another kids show after I get past the nostalgia. It's more interesting than the absolute horseshit they have nowadays by all means, but I can see how my parents and grandparents could see it themselves when I was watching it. The stuff that is going to be on in 30 years... that's going to scare me for sure.
TL;DR: Blah blah blah, nostalgia, blah blah blah cartoons are going to get worse and worse.

I'm tired of all these people saying "cartoon network suxxx!!11". The shows aren't targeted to many people here. I'm sure back when I was 7 and I loved Swat Cats and Transformers, older people thought the shows were stupid and reminisced about the days of The Jetsons and The Flintstones.
The point is, while you may think Cartoon Network is going down the proverbial shitter, the demographics that the show targets probably like it.
