Yeah because all new things suck. For a forum filled with so many young people FP sounds like a load of grumpy old men.
That's not it, though. People might just think it's nostalgia, but I really think modern kids shows are getting lamer and lamer. For example, there are shows from the era of my childhood that I never watched as a kid but can enjoy today because they're actually well-crafted. I can't think of anything currently running during daytime Cartoon Network that I find even remotely interesting anymore. I mean, come on, are you really going to compare things like Courage the Cowardly Dog to something like Ben10? There IS a difference, it's not just a matter of when we grew up. I will post "I swear to god if I see another thread complaining about the cartoon network..."
plz dont

Sure there are bad cartoons now, and there sure as hell were bad cartoons then, I just don't think the overall quality has decreased just because things have changed.

In order of favvv: Ed, Edd, n' Eddy (They still show some now, which is coo.) DragonBall Z Codename: Kids Next Door Dexter's Laboratory Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (Saw a episode recently.) And some more which I'm forgetting. I'm 13 now, and those are the shows I watched and loved as a smaller kid. So many memories, such as cancelling your plans for a new Ed, Edd, n' Eddy episode, having a new episode be the talk of the day at school, and more. Almost brought a tear to my eye thinking about them, almost. Like they have for Nickalodean(Nickalodius, the internet counterpart), there's always going to be a place on the internet where I can re-visit my childhood and think I'm a small kid again. But if the commies take down the internet :argh:....
I can tell you are 13.
dude id wake up to johnny bravo and go to sleep to dexter but if u watch boomerang its has most of those old cartoons but i miss them as much as my first dog
Cartoon Network always sucked. Sorry.
My suggestion to OP, order Boomerang. Anyways, most television channels are dumbing down our programming, mostly channels aimed at Children and Teens, such as Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and MTV. What I'm not sure about is whether they want us to be stupid, or if we're already that stupid?
Don't mention Flapjack.
Things change
God damnit Why can't it be 2005 all the time? That was the year before everything went to crap.

everything is about teen drama on cartoons these days they actually gave us a reason to get off our asses and play outside: so we don't have to watch this shit!
Cartoon Network has really gone down the shitter. My sister was flipping through the channels the other day and stopped at Cartoon Network for a minute. One of those alert type things appeared to show that the show was returning from a commercial. What I saw was horrible. It was a bunch of kids at school and they hear the bell ring and the camera turns to show a person's arm sticking out of the wall waving and ringing a bell. A caption at the bottom appeared and said "School Bell Fail" with the typical white font with a black outline. They've sunken to the level of imitating fail blog and those sorts of pictures. I wish I got a video of it.
fox kids anyone?
Actually one show on Cartoon Network is good, the one cartoon with the pirates. Forgot what it was called. It actually is a good show, with a touch of adult humor that is missable by kids.
I mean come on almost anyone will agree that all this new stuff on CN is bullshit. All that old stuff was amazing: Two Stupid Dogs, Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lab, Courage, Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, the original Toonami and all that jazz. That was the good stuff, with an actual core of creativity. You could watch that stuff all day and be entertained, not like this crap now. I could never understand how anyone, even children who will grow up with this, will probably won't share the same love people felt for the old stuff.
Oh man, I can't tell you how glad I am that other people see this. I loved the old Cartoon Network. Dexter, Ed Edd N Eddy, Courage, Powerpuff Girls, Chuck Jones cartoons, it was AWESOME. My parents have quiet a bit of control over me. I can't skip church or school "because I feel like it." Most of the time, I just goof off on my computer because I don't have many friends. :emo: Odd as it is to me, my parents hate me being on the computer all day for various reasons, but there usually isn't much else to entertain me, so I hate getting off. The first obvious choice is to just watch TV, and had CN not gone shitty on us, I would have no problem watching it. Now, it's as dull as MTV. Cartoon Network has ruined my childhood more than Rule 34. TL;DR Cartoon Network sucks
Actually one show on Cartoon Network is good, the one cartoon with the pirates. Forgot what it was called. It actually is a good show, with a touch of adult humor that is missable by kids.
Flapjack?
"oh my god cartoons have changed but instead of changing the channel I have to think about how much this sucks and whine about it even though cartoons aren't aimed at my age group"
"oh my god cartoons have changed but instead of changing the channel I have to think about how much this sucks and whine about it even though cartoons aren't aimed at my age group"
Someone who never watched them as a kid.
Someone who never watched them as a kid.
No, I did. Turns out, I don't watch them now.
Better question - why are you still watching cartoon network?
Better question - why are you still watching cartoon network?
Precisely. If it's rubbish, don't watch it.
*queue sad Military music that is played during soldiers funerals*
Flapjack?
Yeah, that's the one.
Flapjack?
That show is weird imo.
OMG! Ed Edd n' Eddy is a frikin awesome show. Now they replaced it with Jap shit like Naruto and Xiao Lin Showdown (I know XLS is "chinese" but the cartoon is Jap, I think)
watch Boomerang.
That is what I am doing but Cartoon Network put Ben 10 ads at the end of every show.
GET OVER IT. things change. no matter how many threads you make of this, cartoon network is never gonna bring back those old shows. change the channel and stop bitching already.
