There have only been ~20 black lego people total so they're actually really over-represented in his city
[editline]28th September 2014[/editline]
Also most of them look horrifying

I don't think it's depressing really, if you have the time and the talent, go for it. It's impressive he stuck to it for so long. It would be depressing if it got destroyed, actually. Which it probably will in the end.
We all get destroyed in the end.
I'll be honest when he was showing the movie theater I was half expecting it to be a shooting set up

depressing in that it's realistic to the real world ie prison rape, somali pirates, etc
The people who genuinely think that people like this are autistic for closely following a hobby are quite irritating. Stuff that requires lots of time like this shouldn't be considered "unhealthy obsessions" or anything like that unless someone built giant lego cities to smash buildings with their penises or something.

Superman.
legos are so bloody expensive, I never had very many as a kid
that's a hillarious video if not way too shaky though.

yeah also wolverine
Theater should have featured Star Wars Episode One to go with the depressing tone.
I think he used up all his really cynical scenes too early. He should have done it left-right rather than right-left
That shower scene dou
must be a pretty shitty if there are Somali pirates and al qaeda terrorists on rooftops
This isn't depressing at all, though, it's awesome. When I'm making mad stacks I hope I'll have time for stuff like this.
This isn't even that autistic, I give it 2/10 autisms at best.
Looks like an average hobby.
uh the guy spent $10,000 and lost his girlfriend to it, that's pretty autistic

You really have no idea what autism is.

If you have a hobby and you spend money on it, what's the problem? I'd understand it if he was living in his parents' basement, but he isn't.
I have an ex-girlfriend as well, does that make me autistic?
yeah also wolverine
what are you talking about
Wolverine is real

Why would it matter what hobby he'd spend his disposable income on? Whether you put it into your car, garden, electronics, furniture, model cities, expensive collectibles or exotic holidays doesn't matter as long as it makes you happy.

Off-topic, but why do shitposters always type in all lowercase and end their post with lmao?
Wow. And he didn't even need a kickstarter to complete it.

it's an effective way to show that you're shitposting
Awesome Lego city > Girlfriend that destroys your Lego buildings
I'll be honest, is there a functional difference between this and building a miniature train town? I'd argue that the only major difference is that Lego is primarily a children's line, and doesn't cost quite as much as most model train sets.
Depends really. If you go N-scale and don't purchase expensive shit like brass locomotives and pre-built+weathered scenery it won't go above a few hundred dollars to build a decent layout. A large part of it is improvising and using really basic materials.
I think it would have been better if he had background music and a less shaky hand.
He sounds kinda like a young Gaben, he even started the video the same way Gabe starts his commentary tracks :v:
