Just watched the Experiments episode where he hypnotizes someone into becoming an assasin. Was pretty good, Derren Brown is awesome.
Not too sure if it's completely real or not though. It seems like it is.
So the one guy who's able to willingly electrocute someone to death is also the only one who doesn't have the balls to steal the money. What a twist.

i'm quite sure they didn't realise that many volts could kill and hence not willingly electrocuting someone to death.
the part where they were all stealing candy geeked me

They told them they would go from a low voltage up until lethal when they first started, there was a warning sticker on the box, they played the noise to make it sound like he was in pain and then they stopped to make it seem like he was dead or passed out, and still the guy asked for more notches. Pretty sure he knew what he was doing lol.
ally is a cool dude
This is insane...

My psychology professor flips a shit when people try to pass this kinda stuff off as the real thing, it's not really hypnotism since it's impossible to make a person do something they otherwise wouldn't be willing to do when not under hypnotism. Sure it's suggestion, but that's somewhat different from hypnotism.

It's known as the Milgram Experiment, an overall fairly awesome one to do at that, just have to find people willing.
The only reason this is believable is because, under all our evolution (both naturally and sociologically), the human mind is still based upon animalistic properties. Even though we are an advanced civilization, we as a species are still animals, organic beings which can and will react instinctively under situations and circumstances.
