November is quickly approaching, and that means it's time for another Movember. I'm sure most of you have heard of it before, but for those who haven't:
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.
You can get on this site and register (http://uk.movember.com/?home), which creates a page for you where you can track donations, upload photos of your work-in-progress moustaches and create moustache teams. If you don't want to put in the effort of growing a 'tache, you can still help by donating.
Bit of information as to why this is so important:
On average men die five to six years younger than women. The suicide rate is four times higher for men than women and more than five men die prematurely each hour from potentially preventable illnesses.
Hard hitting facts; especially when you consider that there is no biological disadvantage that puts men at greater risk than women and according to recent research up to half of male cancer cases could be prevented by making healthy diet and lifestyle choices. The reasons for the current state of men’s health are numerous and complex but it appears that the biggest issue is the way in which men think about their health; preventative health being something many men just don’t compute. It is this issue that Movember’s Awareness and Education program is working hard to change.
Awareness and education alters behaviour and mind-sets, it gradually breaks down barriers, removes stigmas and brings about real change. Movember wants men to take responsibility for their health, prevent illness by leading a healthy lifestyle and understand the symptoms and signs in both themselves and others so they can appreciate when and how to seek help if needed.
Can use this thread to post your progress pictures etc.
This is my mo-page if you feel like donating: http://mobro.co/marcus91

And now for the hordes of sweaty, teenage nerds attempting to grow a moustache.
Now that I'm out of school and at uni I can finally participate, and as a preview here is a moustache I grew after 3 days of not shaving (to see if it suits me or not).

If you like it then please don't forget to donate!

I'm thinking of growing the handlebar style, possibly with my chops running down my cheek to connect with the bottom of the moustache by my chin.
Sweet, moustaches are awesome
And now for the hordes of sweaty, teenage nerds attempting to grow a moustache.
Moustaches are easy to grow.

Isn't this because women try to commit suicide more but men succeed more often?
Isn't this because women try to commit suicide more but men succeed more often?
I heard it was because men do more effective suicide methods where most women just slit their wrists or something.
Mine will likely be a bit of fluff on my top lip by the end of the month but god damn it i'll try
waiting for polyethylene to post his terrible stache
What a clever way to raise money for a good cause
Thanks to the anonymous donor of £5!

IT BEGINS
I can only grow a neck beard and sideburns (barely) everything else grows short of facial hair. Still more than your average 16 year old.

Holy christ.
I'm totally down for this, always proves funny to see what miniscule facial hair I can grow!
Do beards count?
Wait until the itching starts. Then the real men are sorted from the lesser... eh... men.
No thanks.
I'd rather not walk around with a shit stain on my face for the next month.

Then grow a beard too. It looks better anyways.
I decided to shave a moustache after 3 days of growth in a bid to raise donations and see what suits me by the time Movember comes. I need a better camera because my growth should be shown a bit thicker than that, but I am liking the handlebar moustache I've got going. Do you guys think it suits me?
