A lot of people I know are Seventh Day Adventists (Christian denomination that believes sabbath day is Saturday instead of Sunday) and a lot of them are vegans and don't have this intolerant outlook. And they may refuse to go to meat-serving restaurants because they don't want contamination of foods that would be vegan with meat products. Example: McDonalds fries their French Fries in the same grease as their chicken.

I don't hate vegans, I just think they're pretty fucking stupid.
I respect that people are vegan and vegetarian if they don't try force their beliefs on others, I don't think they're stupid or anything, I just don't feel like there's anything wrong with eating meat.
Personally I don't mind vegans and vegetarians if it's a lifestyle choice, but once they begin to act like they're some shining beacon of morality because they don't eat meat, well, that is when I wish to kill them.
