lol so you don't want them to die but you don't want them to be neutered, either? So you think there should just be hundreds of millions of cats and dogs just freely breeding? maybe we should sit them down and teach them that abstinence is the way to go!
No, I definitely condone it, but I find it hypocritical of PETA to condone ripping a body part out of an animal considering what they're supposed to stand for. I don't think these are the things an animal rights group should be doing or condoning, and that is why I hate PETA, they revolve around hypocrisy. I may agree with some of the things they agree with as well, I just don't think they should be agreeing or doing it, because it goes against the core of their mission statement.
I don't even know if that number is correct. Regardless, Shelters put down owner surrenders as well as rabid dogs. Most of those are putting down sick and old dogs. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] Even if you take out the owner surrender part, sick animals are put down a lot. That's necessary, they'll unfortunately die regardless in most cases.
Feed her copious amounts of delicious gelatin. Than show her on Discovery how it's made from rotting horse corpses...
All these possible solutions. Here, I have one. SLAP THAT BITCH WITH A RAW STEAK AND SHOVE A SIX POUND PORK LOIN UP HER ASS
We have dog teeth for a reason. If I should stop eating meat, then so should bears. Oh, and sharks. Fucking sharks.
umm yes we are i can say we don't have hands but that wouldn't make it true now would it the human digestive system is tooled around an omnivorous diet, we can process meat just as well if not better than most vegetables
Go eat a raw steak and come back when you have trichinosis worm then tell me we have evolved to the point where we have surpassed meat based diseases and parasites, go and do it and see if you feel the same way when the bacteria that you have consumed makes you wretch your guts up. We have a weakened digestive tract by that fact that we cook everything now, if anything we are more susceptible to those diseases you idiotically think we have surpassed. And it depends on the person and ratio of enzymes, and incase you derped out, that wasn't the point I was attacking, I'm more carnivourous than your average person.
You're from France, you telling me you've never seen steak tartare aller-retour?
I'm not from France, it's this dodgey proxy at work, I'm from the UK. And I assume you mean rare meat, your average person going from eating standard cooked meat going head first into rare meat is probably gonna have a fucked stomach for a while until their digestive tract readjusts for it, and even then, rare is still kinda cooked just not for that long so it still destroys bacteria and parasites.
In all fairness, our evolutionary instincts have grown to cook meat before eating to avoid disease. So disease susceptibility should measured by cooked meat, it's more natural in our evolutionary standards. steak tartare is pretty tasty too
Anyway, this kinda helps our point. "Health concerns have reduced the popularity of this meat dish in some parts of the world because of the danger of contamination by bacteria and parasites.[2] However, when basic hygienic rules are followed and fresh meat is used the risk is low.[3] It is not recommended for people who have a weakened immune system or suffer from a chronic illness. These individuals are at a greater risk of infection from E. coli and/or Salmonella." Meat, if fresh and cleaned, has a low chance of disease. Remember, most of the time, the disease attacks the aged and dirty meat, not inside the body. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline]
steak tartare is pretty tasty too
The texture sieves me the fuck out.
Even with cooked meat it's not completely safe or healthy, so that whole bullshit argument Lord of Ears was making was a pile of horse wank "We evolved this way so clearly it's good for us!" If you don't eat properly meat will fucking obliterate you, it WILL clog arteries since it's pretty much the sole major source of cholesterol intake for the body, the most efficient form of consuming protein, which leads to problems in excess, carries some pretty nasty diseases at times, including shit that can't be destroyed by heat and if you eat it raw and aren't prepared for it then you're gonna suffer for days at least if it isn't a prime piece of meat that's been handled by a pro.
oh my god you have no fucking clue what you are talking about
oh my god you have no fucking clue what you are talking about
Fancy elaborating or would you just like to sit there and shout I'm wrong?
cholesterol comes from everything, mainly eggs, oil, and dairy products such as milk, butter, and ice cream, and it's a problem from all food, not just meat protein excess is a stupid point, too much of anything is bad for you if you east meat properly (ie cook it) then there's more chances you'll get e. coli from vegetables than a disease from tainted meat
Red meat is a pretty big source of cholesterol and unsaturated fats, notice how I didn't say it was the only source. It's not a stupid point considering it's true and valid. And yeah I said if you cook it then you stand a good chance at destroying most of the bacteria and parasites. This is shit I've said before dude.
so i don't see what the issue here is meat is no worse for you than any other food if prepared correctly
so i don't see what the issue here is meat is no worse for you than any other food if prepared correctly
It was more the fact that you initially talked about meat like it was some almighty wonder food when it's not that was annoying me. I still fucking love bacon though.
naw i came off a little overzealous cuz i was kinda pissed it is fucking delicious though

Of course the beer guzzling, fatty food slugging people will be unhealthy. E-colli kills more people than any meat disease that is some how hidden. We know about things like salmonella, which we take great strides to prevent. Mad Cow disease was small, it's not that bad. For vegans to truly make sense, they would have to live in the woods eating berries and shitting in bushes... The processes involved in building their houses, manufacturing and running their cars, making their clothes, ect, have almost definately caused more harm to wildlife and animals in general than collecting eggs from chickens or milking cows...
so, what does it mean to a vegan now that we can grow meat in labs, no animal involved?
so, what does it mean to a vegan now that we can grow meat in labs, no animal involved?
I'm not sure what you just said, but I've always wondered this. When technology evolves far enough that we can literally farm meat, literally plants made out of meat, will vegans be willing to eat it?
I knew a girl like this in middle school. She saw me eating a ham sandwich and I shit you not she walked up to me after I took a bite, ripped it from my hands and threw it away. We were sent to consoling and as soon as the teacher left us alone I went: "Listen, those pigs, those cows, those whatever, are BRED to be eaten, if we set them free they will starve and die a worse death. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" She then actually tried to bitch slap me but I dodged it and just as she did that the teacher walked back in. She got suspended for a week. Served her right.
vegans usually end as pasty and really skinny fuckin twigs
Snap-ability is increased 10-fold.
I would tell you why I hate PETA, but Penn and Teller explain it much better than I ever could.

I've never had any trichinosis worms or anything else happen to me. Your immune system is just a little panzy and you should feel ashamed that you are unable to fight off a measily little cold.
I think its pretty stupid when people like that ask you to be wary of their "beliefs" when it comes to veganism. I'm not the tolerant one eh? What about you and making me go out of my way to just enjoy a meal. I had a friend like this and he would frequently eat alone at lunch when we had meat. Now I'm fine with that because at least he is not making the majority suffer for the sake of the minority. I don't care if people are vegan but when you start to intrude on normal peoples life styles then it gets rediculous. I mean hell, we were CREATED to eat meat. Our K9s are proof of that!
was it really that hard to type canines?
