No trains back then. Use dragons
I thought they were going for a more tactical approach than DA2, like DA:O had. Whatever parts of that "gameplay" trailer that looked like gameplay had an over the shoulder action look to it, not tactics.
As far as I know it's a mix. You can play in third person action style, or zoom out into a DA:O style.

hey look, another post saying "hey look, another <insert genre>"
Gave me a semi-chub.
Good visuals but not really a gameplay trailer.

I'll take a fantasy RPG any day over a military shooter

Both are horribly overdone.
3 seconds of gameplay and then a lot of cutscenes
yeah thsi game looks awful im not gonna expect much from the writing department either
Yeah, pretty sure "3 seconds of gameplay and then a lot of cutscenes" is not really enough to say the game looks awful.
so is this like, the third chosen one they've done or what? what happened to the pc in da:o? what happened to hawke in da2? what's gonna happen to the survivor in dai???

The Warden in DA:O being dropped kinda makes sense given he/she could have died. As for Hawke...well Hawke wasn't a great character to begin with (even if SarcasticHawke was amusing as hell) so maybe it's best that was dropped.
I dunno, I think Bioware is still at a bit of a loss in regards to the series after the incredible success of the flawed but great DA:O and they're still trying to figure out how to handle their protagonists.
This shows promise, hopefully after DA2 and ME3 it'll redeem Bioware in any sort of way.
I hope we get enchantments.
I really should replay DA:O, is it worth playing DA2 though?
I liked DA2's combat over DA:O. But DA:O is a far superior game
Oh yessss, the combat in DA2 is very good. E.g. When your character uses a staff!
