Nice how they developed from a mod team to an actual company. They make pretty cool games and this looks absolutely amazing. I hope they make a Killing Floor 2 with the new Unreal Engine
They made a special "lower than the lowest" AI setting for presentations.
Hahahaha. Hahahahhahahhha. Yeah. Right.
Looks awesome, too bad my PC can't even handle HL: Source (seems all source games run like shit on my computer) then again it isn't meant for gaming... [editline]27th October 2010[/editline]
Hahahaha. Hahahahhahahhha. Yeah. Right.
Uh no he's actually quite right. Most of the time devs use special settings that make the game incredibly easy when they're showing it that way they don't fuck up during the presentation (he died in this presentation because... well a headshot will kill you instantly)
64 player cap is going to be so much fun. [editline]27th October 2010[/editline] Too bad my computer probably wouldn't run it as well as I'd want it to.
that fps... that... screen... my god I must have it. this game would be good too, I loved the first one. This one seems like 10 steps above.
I probably won't even bother dialing my scope, I'll be compensating for bulletdrop automatically. Depth perception isn't hard people.
I think that displaying this game at super low AI was a terrible thing to do. Making it like this just makes it look like some shoddy World War II multiplayer game. It would have been better to set it on medium and try to act more seriously and slow paced then just running and gunning which is NOT Red Orchestra. Completely mis marketing for the average person who has never seen Red Orchestra before.
This is fucking awesome. I bought the first one at day one, going to do the same here.
That shit with the different factions holding their weapons differently is dead handy, the amount of friendly fire kills I've clocked up in RO...
That shit with the different factions holding their weapons differently is dead handy, the amount of friendly fire kills I've clocked up in RO...
I agree, but it is very very true to historic values. Ive noticed in most of the war footage Ive seen of germans, they always run with the weapon in one hand
After watching this it seems that this game is a must buy,A lot of cool improvements. But that interviewer apparently doesn't know shit about video games.
Can't wait until 2011 to get this.
Does anybody know when the actual date of release is suppose to be?
if only my computer didn't hate running UE3 games.

Looks pretty cool, but I don't like the adjustment system for the scope. In real life, as far as I know, the entire scope unit's angle of elevation is adjusted by a dial rather than the crosshair moving on the scope. In other words the overlay of the scope should be static and the scope its self should do the moving relative to the rifle.
I can't wait to see some tank gameplay
I know its Tripwire and we all love them but ANOTHER WAR THEMED GAME, please please don't saturate the genre anymore people
I know its Tripwire and we all love them but ANOTHER WAR THEMED GAME, please please don't saturate the genre anymore people
Man, I know it's valve and we all love them but ANOTHER FIRST PERSON SHOOTER, please please don't saturate the genre anymore people! So you are saying that because it has done before we should not try and do it better? This looks to be the most in depth World War II combat simulator to date and you are slamming it because war games are over done. I guess we should tell all the directors to stop making action movies because they are only saturating the market.

As a small company trying to get their own out there amongst the cod, moh type war games what could be more generic then making a WW2 game on the battle of stalingrad.
Looks sweet, I just hope they improve the voice acting and music a little bit. I hope it isn't just about Stalingrad, despite the title name. It be nice to explore other MP maps like the battle of Kursk or some big open winter field maps fighting in Russia with tanks and infantry and trenches. It be cool if they did some maps in late 1944 too so we can see some more advanced weaponry on Russian and German sides. Tripwire is also not about pleasing a majority of sort attention spanned kids, they're specialist game makers who are focusing on more a historic and realistic WWII shooter with more up to date graphics. If you don't like it then don't buy it.
One thing I thought was cool about Tripwire was that they're actually hiring a mod team to make a rough draft for a mod based on the Pacific Campaign. I seriously hope they include the Australians...
Looks good but i can imagine this getting repetitive.
Oh trust me, try the original and you'll see it really isn't. Maps have such scope that each game won't play out the same way as the last and kills are so satisfying.

did anyone else hear a specimen scream at about 2:09 ish??
I agree, but it is very very true to historic values. Ive noticed in most of the war footage Ive seen of germans, they always run with the weapon in one hand
He explained that in the video.

It's usually before they're going to die, all of the sudden they stop taking damage.
I know it's long, but it does show some cool features, like blind fire(3:00) and scope adjusting(21:40). Personally, I can't wait for this game, I just hope they improve the AI some more.
Holy fucking awesome
