They took a poll on my school and only 4% considered himself Christian. And about 7% muslim. We still had to learn stuff about religion in philosofy lessons but that wasn`t only about 1 religion / neutral. Damn, being fed fantasytales would be horrible, I don`t see how it wouldn`t end up in poeple trolling the teacher the whole hour long.
I can`t imagen myself a school where more than half of the folks practice religion

I go to a Catholic school in Australia, it's quite the same experience.
Just take naps on your desk in religion classes.
The classes aren't really directly religion, they're more of a historical and psychological education - obviously with suggestive Christian undertones. Though in out assessment we can take either side of the religious debate so long as we have sources etc.

I think that if they're gonna teach religion in school it should be one of the lessons you choose to do, like when you get to choose your GCSE's. It's not fair to force feed religion when children are at a gullible age. It's one of the big problems in the world I think, because by the time they're old enough to make their own life decisions they've already been preached everything from the bible and it's what they're made to believe. That is why I always skipped religious studies.
Shoot up your school.
In other words; explain it to your parents, or if push comes to rape, leave.
Just listen and learn. You might not find it that interesting or you might find it stupid but you could still something from it.

Turkey shouldn't be allowed into the EU until they can sort out this kinda human rights issue. People should be allowed to believe anything they want. I'm all for different cultures etc, but the EU wants to promote human rights and that is something Turkey will have to adjust to if they want to join.
