the line art is awful
What are you people on about? The line work is very good. It's neat, clean, smooth, and sharp. Maybe the lines don't form an image that you like, but the lines themselves are nicely made.

Oh hey the pixels don't form an image that I like, but the pixels themselves are nice.
I'm saying the linework is well done. That is one of the few things that can be objective when it comes to art.
All the people that have been rating posts dumb that are only being truthful are all incompetents who have no idea how 'art' works or how CC works. I've never seen any of you here before and your probably just OP friends come to save the day.
Listen people, you can trace once in a while but its not art. I've traced before but I hold it in the same respect as dot-to-dots. Stop getting buthurt.
Also is that done in flash? if it is I'm gonna slap your shit for misusing such a beautiful and enabling program for ass like this.
I used GIMP.
How did you make the lines so perfectly? Did you use some kind of line tool? Or do you just have freakishly steady hands..

Seriously? Your hands are so shaky you can't even draw a smooth line? Use mouse smoothing then

Vector tool was used so that is why its smooth and sharp. Vectors are not really 'drawn' more plotted.

ok, I see. You can continue to rate me dumb or you can listen to some advice and constructive criticism. I know I often sound like I'm being an ass on some of my posts but its just that I want to get across the message.
Anime is not highly regarded in CC especially styles like Scott Pilgrim because people that decide to start drawing it begin without looking into realistic anatomy tutorials, shading techniques, colour composition and perspective. I have nothing against anime and there are several very good anime artists that use CC whos work I enjoy seeing, but the point is if I was to ask them to draw basic human anatomy they could because they have spent the time practising it. So if you are serious about art you should look up tutorials on these things and if you choose to do anime implement what you have learn to create your own unique style.
Now I understand this could just be a fun bit of art you wanted to do, but by posting it here it is automatically up for critique and if you had spent time lurking in CC you would realize that people give harsh but honest criticism AND their personal opinions. The key is to take on board and understand what they say even if you personally don't agree. Many of the regs here have been having to say this for years and therefore develop a short fuse on the matter.
In my post I wasn't trying to have a go at you I was just raging over other people dumbing perfectly fine comments. I respect that certain people want to have a certain style to their art, but I don't like people using it to cover up faults in the drawing.
Now criticism for the picture itself:
The pointing arm is a little to far out to the characters left for the perspective, it also looks like it's at an uncomfortable angle if it is just going straight out to the left. His head is a bit low due to lacking a neck in the correct position. The rest of the anatomy I guess follows the style although I do strongly suggest practising some tutorials on realism. The colours and their composition appear to have been taken out of the standard colour pallet. Try importing a custom colour pallet from a reference picture, it makes it look much better :). Also try to imagine where the light source is and shade from knowing that, (the reference image appears to have ignored light sources all together).

My hands are pretty shaky on the tablet as well, making a perfectly straight line isn't easy.
They probably used the pen tool or whatever it's called in flash/illustrator.

Damn and I thought I had shaky hands. They shake when I don't do anything but when I draw it works just fine
