The series is going in a good direction. Much better than fifth or sixth season. [sp]I very like that Ukrainian mafia subplot, finally a villian that isn't boring.[/sp]
They're supposed to be around for both seasons, too. Looking forward to it as the main part of the 8th season while it's just developed as a subplot this season.
I really enjoyed this episode. The only part that didn't catch my fancy much was the part with Lewis. [editline]8th October 2012[/editline] Oh and, GHOST DAD

Specially judging by teaser of next episode [sp]they will find out that Dexter was somehow involved in killing one of them[/sp]
I'm thinking Louis will be the main villain this season. Or maybe they'll be 50/50 and then take over next season.
Dexter let Louis go ... I'm pretty sure he's gonna bite hard ... Really hard! Like Arthur and Travis Marshall!
i refuse to believe louis [sp]only beef with dexter is the fact that he badmouthed the game,[/sp] i mean come on, [sp]nobody goes overboard and closes fucking bank accounts and shit just for that[/sp]
I'd be pretty happy if the Louis subplot just involved Dexter drugging him every episode and putting him in strange places. [editline]8th October 2012[/editline]
i refuse to believe louis [sp]only beef with dexter is the fact that he badmouthed the game,[/sp] i mean come on, [sp]nobody goes overboard and closes fucking bank accounts and shit just for that[/sp]
I can believe people would go that far over being insulted like that if they had some kind of mental problem. The way I'm viewing him now he's just some emotionally fragile egotist who has no idea who he's messing with, messing with him over petty shit that got his nerd rage on. It'd be kind of shit if he was that shallow a character though, but I also don't want him to be a big deal since there's already enough going on. I'd rather they just put him in as dark passenger bait, winding Dexter up until he eventually snaps.
Ray Stevenson is awesome so I'm looking forward to see more of him.

But if it's true then Louis would be the most pointless character in the series. [sp]And it's to coincidental with that hand. I mean, how he would know that it even exists. It would be sweet if he would be connected with ITK[/sp]
I still think in the end Louis gets framed for the reopened BHB case. He has that weird obsession and all. Dexter could play honest about him shutting down his bank accounts and things and play the victim.
[sp]Honestly I thought I missed something when Dexter decided he wanted to kill Louis, I thought he had some kind of code or something? As far as I know he's only killed once compulsively the entire show and he was shamed by ghost dad for losing control. When he stuck him with a needle I had to rewatch half the episode to try and figure out if I missed a part that explained Louis is a killer.[/sp]

He believe Louis was getting too close to the truth.[/sp]
it really just seemed like he wanted to kill [sp]louis because he was really annoying and invasive[/sp]
This is probably going to sound dumb, but [sp]early on in Season 6, didn't Lewis tell Dexter about a specific search engine or something? I'm pretty sure Dex used it to find someone to kill (the tooth fairy perhaps?). I think Lewis knows about Dex being a killer from that.[/sp] [editline]9th October 2012[/editline] Also, I'll be pissed if the ending to this show is [sp]Lewis being a serial killer, and he hunts and kills Dexter. My memory could be off, but didn't he get his money from making games or something? If he travels from place to place trying to get "inspiration" for his games, then perhaps that's his cover for killing across the country/world? Kinda like how Trinity was.[/sp]

He's already met a shitload of other serial killers, the show really doesn't need to have another one just coincidentally being a part of his crew.
What if Deb starts helping Dexter with his work. Would be rather cool.
No, that would be the worst possible direction they take it. The therapy idea is bad enough but I'm willing to give it a chance.
What if Deb starts helping Dexter with his work. Would be rather cool.
I could not disagree more. That'd be a very lazy way to continue and would be a very boring way to take it.
Eh. Well, I'm glad we can discuss this properly. That would be rather crappy, now that I think about it. Deb couldn't be farther from a "serial killers assistant". I mean she almost got ganked by one serial killer and her "brother" is another.
[sp]any one else kinda react to the fact that a convicted felon was under like no supervision at all and could just walk out into traffic[/sp]
[sp]People were getting lunch and I guess they saw he was with Dexter. What could possibly go wrong?[/sp]
But Dexter is just a lab guy. I don't even know why he was there. Isn't he the blood guy? There was no blood...
I think they wanted a lab guy there in case they found the bodies.
[sp]any one else kinda react to the fact that a convicted felon was under like no supervision at all and could just walk out into traffic[/sp]
i thought it was pretty weird how he obviously had kind of a bond with a lab tech/blood spatter analyst. nobody else was like hey why is dexter always talkin to this serial killer? dexter? i mean its okay i mean ur supposed to be here but like what are u always talking with him about?
i thought it was pretty weird how he obviously had kind of a bond with a lab tech/blood spatter analyst. nobody else was like hey why is dexter always talkin to this serial killer? dexter? i mean its okay i mean ur supposed to be here but like what are u always talking with him about?
[sp]The guy knew he was going to kill himself so maybe he just wanted to have a few more pleasant conversations with someone on the outside before he died. As for why no one thought it was weird that Dexter was talking to him, there wasn't much (if any) work for him to do unless they found the bodies (that most likely weren't there) so what's the harm in letting him talk to the guy? I'm sure stranger things have happened in reality.[/sp]
The writing is slightly better than the 2 previous seasons, which can easily change, we only had 2 episodes so far. Unfortunately I already know these writers won't come near the ones who wrote the first 4. [sp]The idea of Debra trying to fix Dexter is stupid but I can see her coming up with idea like that. I just hope it won't work. Mostly because that was basically the plot of the 2 previous season. Dexter trying to get rid of his Dark Passenger.[/sp] What saddens me the most is that Dexter's character is damaged beyond repair. They tried to make him more human but they handled it poorly. Now when Dexter is in stress he gets angry or acts like an asshole. [sp]And did he wanted to kill Louis? So he keeps mentioning the code and then he almost breaks it? Or he simply took Louis without the intention of killing him and called Debra to score some of her trust?[/sp]
the only way i can see this season ending is [sp]deb dying. dexter's killer side hardening further as a result[/sp] [editline]11th October 2012[/editline] i can literally see it now. [sp]dexter walking in slowmo toward deb's body, with this music playing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChFVkYvSY-0 and saying angry stuff about how he will never be cured and how hate filled he is now[/sp]
