I have no problem with season 7, besides the pointless 'romance' between Dexter and Hannah, me being gay contributes to that though.

I think that season 4 is by far the best, it's my favorite, at least.
maybe you are forgetting season 1 then - it had the most interesting plot, the best acting, the best cinematography by far (it was actually artfully shot rather than the flat boring soap opera shots it uses now), and was just all around superbly written. go watch it again if you haven't recently and you'll see what I mean.
I love all of the seasons, season 4 is just my favorite, but I'm dumb for that?
I'll probably go back and watch it again at some point, but just watching everything though, I'd say 4 is my favorite.

Deb really didn't look so great in Season 1. Some will argue she's still not attractive, but she's doing better.
Almost done with season 2, up to episode 9.
One thing I've noticed in this show is whenever somebody gets a phone call on this show, nobody ever says goodbye.
They all just hang up on each other after they say what they have to.
One thing I miss is the way they all interacted together. Batista just seems like filler, unnecessary even compared to when he was interesting and integral to the homicide team
i also enjoy how sodaquist is one of the few extras that's been around since the beginning and you still see him on occasion in season 7
I can admit from a purely non-biased point of view season 1 is the best.
Personally, I found Trinity to be the most intimidating and entertaining 'season bad guy' and season 4 was just all round the most entertaining for me.
When you go back and watch season 1 again and see [sp]Brian and how he acts around dexter[/sp] it's just wow. He's still my favorite, followed by Trinity

Trinity actually scared me. John Lithgow did a great job playing him.

Because it's mostly based on the first book. However, the plot divergence near the end means that the book's interesting sub plots right now are impossible in TV-dexter.
I liked this episode.
